What an amazing day at a beautiful venue!. From the first meeting with Carol we were very impressed and fell in love with the house. Well where do we start, we booked our wedding here at the beginning of last year and from the moment we walked into The Glen-Yr- Afon we knew it was the place we wanted to hold our wedding. Carol is absolutely fantastic and very approachable and friendly. Her continued support throughout the planning made our Wedding Day on 2nd August all the more perfect. The staff team were so professional and saw to our every need nothing was too much trouble. All of our guests have had nothing but praise for how wonderfully they were all treated. The food was out of this world so a special thankyou to the Catering Team. The flowers were stunning thankyou so much Jo at Love Lily you met every requirement for us.The D.J. Darren for a very professional job everybody loved the music, dancefloor was awesome and loved by all especially our daughter Tirion. Our harpist Emily was amazing everybody loved the music and was singing along. A special mention to Jake who looked after myself, my new Husband Dean and our daughter Tirion all day, he communicated with us throughout the day asking us if we would like to see each transformation of the ballroom in such a professional, friendly manner. We got married here on the 29th April and had the most amazing day.

From the moment we stepped foot in the Glen Yr Afon and met Carol we knew we had made the right decision to have our wedding here.

Carol was amazing during the build up to our wedding day and so was her team.

The staff at the hotel were always friendly, welcoming and helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff.

I stayed at the hotel the night before the wedding with my parents & bridesmaids and the staff made sure we had the perfect evening to start the weekends celebrations off.



Jamie & Matthew you were both amazing, you made sure the weekend and our wedding day ran smoothly.



The venue is the perfect setting with beautiful gardens, lovely decorated bedrooms and in a ideal location. The food was delicious and so was the wine.



I am so glad we chose to have our wedding day here and I would highly recommend it to other couples looking for a wedding venue. Carol is amazing and so are her team.

We stayed here 25 years ago the night of our wedding. We have been back since but decided to have an overnight stay to celebrate our 25th anniversary and it didn't disappoint. Its a lovely relaxed peaceful atmosphere. We had afternoon tea (far too much to eat so we were lucky enough to have the cakes boxed up to take home!) Dinner in the evening was beautiful. And the breakfast was amazing. I loved the peace and quiet and the beautiful surroundings. And of course a huge thank you to the staff who were absolutely fantastic! It won't be another 25 years before we come back!! Highly recommend!

We had our wedding reception here yesterday, from arrival everything was perfect. The place runs like clockwork, everyone was lovely and the whole day was spot on. Everyone complimented the venue and the staff and we cannot thank-you enough. We were touched by the photo gift too-didn't expect that, a lovely touch.

We booked the luxury break to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. We had a fantastic time. The Champaign afternoon tea was absolutely stunning and dinner was amazing. We were extremely full. The portions are massive. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The grounds are lovely. We got married here last year which was the perfect day and our 1st wedding anniversary didn't disappoint. We booked a luxury break to celebrate our Pearl wedding anniversary. We were really impressed with the hotel and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.

Out room , the food and the service was excellent and would recommend it to anyone.

Only been here an hour or so and monumentally impressed so far. We booked a luxury break here as a treat and mini-honeymoon a week after we got married as we had no time for a more extensive honeymoon. From the moment we stepped in the door the staff have been friendly, polite and attentive. We were shown to our room, which is first class and then returned to reception where we were greeted and shown to a table for afternoon tea.



I can’t even begin to describe the afternoon tea. The quality and quantity of the food is quite frankly the best I’ve ever had in an afternoon tea, and I’ve had a few. We even had a glass of champagne to sip throughout and offers of tea and coffee refills as required.



If the rest of our stay continues at this rate I can guarantee we will be coming again! I’ve already said to the husband that we shall have to purchase the luxury break again as a gift for some family members.

My daughter's wedding 1st August 2018...everything was perfect...venue...food...staff...I would thoroughly recommend Glen yr afon...a special mention for all the staff they were immense...nothing was too much trouble �

My daughter was married here on May 4th this year. We all had a wonderful day and would like to thank Carol,Jamie and the rest of the team who worked to make this such a memorable occasion. Everything was perfectly carried out and every detail was attended to with nothing being too much trouble.

My daughter got married here on St Patrick's day, we stayed in the cottage it was absolutely beautiful and the staff were so helpful. We had breakfast brought over as hair and make up were being done so couldn't get to the hotel, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Absolutely fabulous food, all in all a wonderful day to remember thank you ��

I've never had a bad meal there and always had a wonderful time

I have visited Glen Yr Afon several times over the past few years and I have been extremely satisfied with every visit. I have had Afternoon Tea here twice (once for a baby shower and once for Mother's Day where I took my mum and nan) which was the best Afternoon Tea I have ever had, with a large selection of sandwiches, sweets and pastries. I recently attended my aunty and uncles wedding reception which took place in April and I had such an amazing day celebrating with friends and family and the staff couldn't do enough to help. The three course meal included was incredible!! The lamb with seasoned veg was to die for! Thank you so much for making my aunty and uncles wedding day special and for the amazing hospitality!

I got married here on the 27th August 2017 and cannot express how amazing this venue is. From start to finish the planning, prep and the run up to the day was superbly handled by Carol. The day itself surpassed all expectations and i could not have asked for a better day. The staff were amazing throughout - very friendly, polite and professional. The food was perfect, they had catered for everyone and every dietary requirement with such care. The small touches added really made the day (thank you for the silver photo frame and the cushion!)



Carol is the best wedding coordinator i have come across and made the whole process of organising so easy. Jaime who oversaw our day was exceptional and ensured that i did not have to do anything other than enjoy the day!



I cannot put into words how amazing this venue is and how special they made my wedding day. I would 100% recommend it!

Fabulous afternoon tea for my mum’s 80th birthday,great service, wonderful selection of sandwiches, cakes & pastries, nothing was too much trouble.

I cannot put into words how amazing this venue is and how special they made my wedding day. I would 100% recommend it!

Fabulous afternoon tea for my mum’s 80th birthday,great service, wonderful selection of sandwiches, cakes & pastries, nothing was too much trouble.

At the hotel for a family wedding. Beautiful surroundings. The meal was amazing. Everything arrived together and was piping hot. Stayed at hotel saturday night room was lovely and breakfast on sunday morning was amazing. Fabulous day venue amazing would highly recommend this hotel and staff very professional.

After getting married at the glen yr Afon, My wife and i celebrated our 1yr anniversary here.

It's fair to say that the staff were as amazing as they were on our wedding day!

The food... wow, unbelievable and the flavours were out of this world.

Also the little touches that the staff made such as an anniversary card personalised to me and my wife was such a lovely gesture, it was Really touching!

We Cannot fault this place for anything!
