Glyn Rees & Son is a long established, privately owned family business now run by the fifth generation of the Rees family. Based in the Dyfi Valley on the border of Meirionnydd in Gwynedd and Montgomery in Powys, Mid Wales.
Over the years, and largely due to personal recommendations, the business has now grown to cover a large area of Mid Wales - Machynlleth and the surrounding valleys, Dolgellau, Fairbourne, Tywyn, Barmouth and along the coast to Harlech.
Given the privilege to act on your behalf during your time of grief, you will be personally dealt with by either Dilwyn or Dylan Rees or a member of their professional staff, who are ready to attend to all your needs and will give utmost attention to all your requirements.
Glyn Rees & Son offers a 24hour call out service and repatriate from all over the United Kingdom. Over the many years in business we have repatriated loved ones from all corners of the world, attending to all the relevant paperwork, dealing with the appropriate authorities, Coroner’s etc. Once returned to a UK Airport, your loved one is conveyed to our Chapel of Rest, where funeral arrangements can be carried out in the normal way.
Glyn Rees & Son is a long standing member of The National Association of Funeral Directors, NAFD, the country’s longest established and most representative funeral trade organisation which has been supporting the funeral trade for over one hundred years. As part of the NAFD’s Code of Practice and Rules, Glyn Rees & Son is bound to comply with the Funeral Arbitration Scheme – an independent Conciliation in the unlikley event they are not satisfied with the funeral of their loved one.

My family and I met with Heulwen to discuss the funeral of my father a few weeks ago. She was very attentive and sincere. Heulwen went above and beyond to organise everything we wanted. It put our minds at rest knowing dad was in her safe hands. Any questions we had she was more than happy to answer. The funeral was sorted promptly and funeral cards were printed and sent to us for approval within days. On the day of the funeral both Heulwen and Dylan were very smartly dresses and were truly wonderful with all the family and friends making sure we were all ok. I will be forever grateful for the advice, help and support, professionalism and care from Dylan, Heulwen and Co. My wonderful Dad, and we as a family were very well looked after and Dylan helped to organise a very appropriate and personal celebration of his life. It was just as he had wished.
