Golden Bbq

Lovely food but when I ask for my food at 6.30 I don't expect it at 5.45 when I just entered house.
Plus I asked for chilli sauce not salsa sauce with chilli inside .otherwise nice

This has to be the cleanest take-away by far - absolutely spotless. Had the chicken & chips which were really good but will try the kebab next time as it looked amazing

The guys here are great. The service is always fast efficient and friendly. Always great value! Recently ordered for home delivery and they missed part of the order......mistake! When I called back tonight to reorder they told me I was entitled to FREE chips which was amazing! Honest, first class service for a modest fee.....Well done guys! Xxx

Feels odd to be reviewing a takeaway / kebab style shop but this place deserves special attention. The hard working team there are the most friendly people, fall over themselves to serve and have developed a great relationship with regulars and welcome new faces with delight. The 5 star hygiene rating is a welcome sight and not common at takeaways.
I haven't sampled everything on the menu by a long stretch but I can say that their chicken is far better than the American chain stuff.
Further testament to the quality of their food is the fact that I have a group of friends I meet up with every week on the other side of the city always ask me to get food for them from Golden BBQ even though they are surrounded by loads of places to eat. Worth the trip to Birchgrove or they seem to deliver through Just Eat.

Good higiene standards compare to others takeaways. Good allround fastfood.

Don't get me wrong, never had an awful meal from the place, but when the guy serving me tells me that he and the guys he works with say I 'look really strong for a woman' and 'too strong for a woman' I was enraged. Even if I smiled and paid, that is not good service. Won't be going there again.

No other place in Cardiff sells BBQ food and it's much healthier than other places which is why I go. I have been with them since the start since they first opened and I don't live far. All the food is really good no complaints.
