CABARET CHANGE!!
I have the unfortunate job of letting you all know that Ray Quinn has cancelled his show at Golden Sands on 16th June. This is due to him starting as the lead character in the theatre show Summer Holiday.
I have been working to try and find a replacement that the majority of you will be happy with as I know you were looking forward to seeing Ray and have made arrangements to enable that to happen.
... Big name acts are always challenging as we at Golden Sands like a good show. A lot of them only do 2-3 songs which just won’t do for us. We also like people we’ve actually heard of and people that can entertain as well as perform. It’s taken some searching but I think I have found the one!
Luckily the brilliant Ray Lewis was free so I snapped him up quickly. Ray was the lead singer of The Drifters and is a really entertaining man. If you haven‚Äôt seen him before make sure you pop in so you don‚Äôt miss out ūüėä Ray last performed at Golden Sands around 8 years ago so it‚Äôs about time he came back!
I hope you are not too disappointed by the change. It is never ideal or planned to replace an act this late in the day but I hope the replacement I have found will lighten the blow ūüėä

Where do I even start! We had such a wonderful holiday. From the kind, warm, welcome at check in to the smile on everyone's face everywhere we went on site, it was truly a very pleasant experience. Beautiful beach only a matter of minutes away, pool is spotless, shop and chippy very well priced and Chippy portions are generous, Sandpiper and Carousel Bar also very well priced, entertainment was great and mobile home was immaculate. I cant fault anything. And a big special thank you to Tony, who went above and beyond entertaining our son (even on his night off!). I can assure you, we will be back! 5 stars from us!

Well what can I say another fab year! A week wasn't long enough, we all enjoyed every second of it,and we did get some nice weather, the food was amazing and everyone so welcoming !!! the kids loved every second painting the pottery (which is a amazing add to the park),playing on the park and in the arcade and play area..and the gold stars have pulled it outta bag this year there take on sleeping beauty was fab my kids were glued to it and the signed pics and key rings were a great keepsake,they've been amazing this year with all there fun and games and my daughter was picked to go on stage and splat a egg on her head thankfully was hard boiled haha & they especially loved Tye and Tony...keep up the hard work guys, now to try and get big fish little fish cardboard box out of my head haha.. see you again soon !!! Booked a lodge for August 2019 so countdown is now on unless we pop back before then that is ÔŅĹ haha x

Well this week was our third year back at golden sands and as each time it gets better and better the camp is well run,maintained and really friendly everything is on you‚Äôre doorstep so no complaints from us but we just wanted to thank all the goldstars for another excellent week ty tony carly georgie sian rosie louie and paige you all were awesome and made our little family holiday more than worth it and my children had a blast again with you all the entertainment was second to none tony you are ace pal cameron always a top lad and a good laugh we hope you‚Äôre all here next year as we‚Äôve booked again to come for our 4th time so keep doing what you all do giving people the reasons to keep coming back each year gutted we had to come home but make us look forward our little family holiday next year so roll on 2019 we‚Äôll see you soon goldstars and golden sands ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ

We visited this park for the first time 18th / 25th june. The park is extremely well kept and very clean. The caravan was superb extremely comfortable, decking and patio. We went out for the day and came back to table and chairs on the patio which was lovely. The food was lovely and reasonably priced, 1 small complaint was I don't like dressings on salad but that is just my personal taste. The fish and chip shop was also well worth the money really good food and good sized portions but only same prices you would pay at home. There is direct beach access from the park. We will definitely visit this park again in the future.

We came home yesterday from a fantastic week in golden sands there is everything on the camp you need all the goldstars were brilliant with my daughter but paige and Tyler were fantastic with her she didn't want to leave at the end of the week that's when you know your child has had a good time so we will be back in July thankyou paige and Tyler Amy said she will see you soon

Want to say a massive thankyou to tony one of the gold stars he made our holiday fantastic and can’t wait to return again he was funny and entertained all five kids and even made my new partner blush sweet

WOW an amazing friendly family feel holiday park,made some amazing memories with my family,My children 14,8,3 all loved it the gold stars (kids entertainment) was awesome as well Tony and Sian in particular made us feel so welcome took the time to come and sit with us introduce themselves also tell us about themselves,but they all were amazing.

Our caravan was sea view which was perfect also,booked up for next year already as well.

Defo recommend golden sands to anybody.

This is our first time at golden sands Rhyl and I have nothing bad to say about the place. First of all I noticed how clean and tidy the grounds are kept, lawns being mowed, litter pickers out keeping on top of rubbish. In the club house they are super on top of collecting glasses and rubbish also.



-Chippy on site does lovely food, very tasty great size portions and fairly priced. It’s also clearly very hygienic.

-Shop is a little pricey but I find most shops on any caravan site a little excessive.

-Only ate at the restaurant once but when we did the food was good with no complaints here. Hubby is very fussy with his grub and he even cleared his plate so to me that says a lot.

-food to go is a handy service for a late night snack.



Swimming pool - not too big not too small, which is great for me as I don’t do crowds very well.

All kept very clean and the lifeguards are very much on the ball.



Staff were lovely from the start wherever we went we were served with a smile.

The gold star entertainers are amazing. These ladies and gents go above and beyond to entertain the children. ( and the adults- we had such a laugh ) They must work long hours but they never seem tired, probably because they are good at what they do.

Special shout out to Tony who got my daughter to come out of her shell, she loved having a dance with him, when she sees him she has a massive smile for him and goes all starry eyed ÔŅĹ (she‚Äôs only 4 ) he‚Äôs an amazing children‚Äôs entertainer and a great asset to golden sands Rhyl.



I’m going home Monday and will miss this place but without a doubt I will be back again soon.

The 3 of us loved our week away her , we don't drive so it was a great place to stay as everything is in walking distance. Great entertainment my 4 year old loved the disco each night. Caravan was clean and very spacious only down fall was the plug sockets next to the beds had a constant ringing noise got annoying. Apart from that we will definitely be returning next year... *****

Just come back from few days at golden sands... 3rd time in 4 years... only issue i have is as a wheelchair user the disabled toilet in the amusements is deffinetly not adequate, way to small and too ma y bins... also laundrette doorway, absolutly no way a wheelchair can get i there due to the frame at the bottom being around 2 inches tall, did comment 2 years ago and said would sort it but nope nothing done about it...

It’s an amazing holiday.. the gold stars are awesome and we have been coming here for years and we are a family that vary in ages from 6 to 84 and we all enjoy ourselves.. completely recommend this place to anyone!!

First time stayin on this site and 5 star all round we stayed in a bronze caravan and it was full central heating very clean 2 bathrooms was more like a silver it was so clean comfy cosy no problems what so ever club was great for the kids we did kids club in the morning n my daughter loved it making slime making crafts doing art etc the night time club was amazing to for kids my little 1 won a dancing comp n had to get up on stage for claim her prize and certificate she was over the moon she's only 3 all the gold stars were amazing rosie louie and another forgot her name great entrainment getting the adults involved hilarious to watch swimming was great no problems what so ever woman on reception forgot her name to was great in her customer service her helpfulness all round lovely family break 100 percent going to return and we are considering buying our own caravan after this stay thankyou so much to the goldstars they made my daughter and neices holiday fab ÔŅĹ

Excellent accommodation caravan was immaculate. All facilities were brilliant.

Very close to the beach, staff all very helpful and friendly especially towards the disabled children.

Meals in onsite restaurant were absolutely delicious. Recommend that if you go to try them.

The only downfall was on Sunday evening all food areas were closed after 7pm so couldn't get any supper onsite. Maybe that's something the management could improve.

Other than that fantastic holiday camp and would recommend it to anyone. Will definitely be going there again in the future.

Came here for a week with family, where do I start, caravan was spotless, nicest caravan I‚Äôve ever stayed in! The grounds are very well kept and very clean, can‚Äôt fault them at all! The swimming pool is a little small for the size of the park which was disappointing, but kids play area and football cage were great, arcade was a good size and the food served at the sandpit was delicious! Really quick service and reasonably priced too. Didn‚Äôt sample nighttime entertainment but played bingo once which was fun. The site is on the beaches doorstep which is amazing! 40 minute walk to Rhyl centre and 20 to Towyn. The weather was a bonus too ūüėā would definitely come here again!

Absolutely the best holiday ive had in yonks, ive done the major parks, ive done the popular caravan parks, none have hit the spot like Golden Sands, I was worried visiting a smaller park, but my worry was soon extinguished the staff are amazing, they go above and beyond, and actually interact with people, I have to say this was my best staycation in a very long time, I will be CERTAIN to book at this park again over the B***** or the P***** parks for sure, Devon Cliffs was our favourite, but it isn't anymore and that's simply because the park is amazing, the goldstars are brilliant, the park is uber clean and looked after and its a really awesome place too stay, see you again soon GS

Being a single parent who doesn‚Äôt drive I had been hoping to find a break away for me and the kids which was easy to access by train and also a site that had plenty of things to keep the kids entertained so didn‚Äôt have to worry about travelling out all the time. It was purely by chance we ended up at golden sands when I came across a privately owned caravan rental. We couldn‚Äôt of wished for better it ticked every box for the break I had envisioned. One of the biggest selling points for me is that the site has its own beach access it‚Äôs literally on your doorstep. The site is very clean and well maintained, the staff are super friendly and helpful always smiling! Good in the sandpiper is superb and excellent value for money. My only gripe really would be the lady who mans the swimming pool she comes across very abrupt and did make our swimming experience abit miserable with her constant pacing and moaning at people. I‚Äôm all for safety but she was picking flies with everyone. She told my son off for being away from me but he is over 8 and allowed to swim by himself in the pool besides I had my eye on him the whole time. I just think she needs to brush up on her people skills. Having said that it was truly a brilliant break so much so we‚Äôve booked for October ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ

Stayed for bank holiday weekend the site was lovely and clean the vans are way to close together bedding was missing and beds not made up which I paid for so shame there. Beach was so close and lovely. pool was a joke stuck with wrist bands on to get there to be told it was full and we would have to go get a ticket from reception and have to wait for our number to be called to go in no way!!! Entrance was a nightmare to find need bigger signage and drive way is one way traffic but u can't see. Kids entertainment was rubbish YouTube videos really we can do that at home then staff dance but don't show kids the moves 1st what's the point!?

I stopped here for 4 nights on 23rd July 2018. The cavavan I was given was a brilliant clean place the only down side was on the door there is a thumb lock to secure the door at night. I think this is a bad idea with young children. My 2 year old kept opening the door. I had to sleep in living room just in case he woke up and decided to open the door at night. The entertainment was very bad as the staff could not sing. The shows was like a bad karaoke night at a drunk bar. I really think there should consider sacking the entertainment manager. I hope the park read the reviews and contact me for feed back. The food in the chip shop was not good. The chips need longer and pizza Was not cooked for long enough. The food at the bar was also really bad. It cost 24 pounds for 2 pizza's 1 garlic bread and 2 chips. It was frozen crap. As a ex chef I really think food should be fresh and nice to eat. If you wouldn't eat it you shouldn't serve it to the customers.

Ok the caravan was 2 caravans down from where we had to park.( To get in the park was all one way. Dont think they thought it through) So lugging a double pram plus luggage wasnt easy as had to weave through other caravans. Not enough car parking! We were crammed in. Caravan was clean and basic and the heating was broken so we had several attempts at ringing reception to fix it. The site shop was total rubbish! Nothing a normal shop would stock, it focused more on bloody ice cream than basics. Swimming was a no no as there was always a queue. The site is huge yet only 15 people in the pool at one time for at least an hours swim. Really? We paid to get into a pool we couldnt use. You cant queue for an hour with under 2s. Night time entertainment. One mini disco for 15 minutes. Nothing for little kids. Couldnt get side by side twin buggy down the aisles at the bar anyhow. Loads of people smoking weed (20+) right outside the park sitting on settees in the road, flaunting it every night we were there. Absolutely the best holiday ive had in yonks, ive done the major parks, ive done the popular caravan parks, none have hit the spot like Golden Sands, I was worried visiting a smaller park, but my worry was soon extinguished the staff are amazing, they go above and beyond, and actually interact with people, I have to say this was my best staycation in a very long time, I will be CERTAIN to book at this park again over the B***** or the P***** parks for sure, Devon Cliffs was our favourite, but it isn't anymore and that's simply because the park is amazing, the goldstars are brilliant, the park is uber clean and looked after and its a really awesome place too stay, see you again soon GS

Being a single parent who doesn‚Äôt drive I had been hoping to find a break away for me and the kids which was easy to access by train and also a site that had plenty of things to keep the kids entertained so didn‚Äôt have to worry about travelling out all the time. It was purely by chance we ended up at golden sands when I came across a privately owned caravan rental. We couldn‚Äôt of wished for better it ticked every box for the break I had envisioned. One of the biggest selling points for me is that the site has its own beach access it‚Äôs literally on your doorstep. The site is very clean and well maintained, the staff are super friendly and helpful always smiling! Good in the sandpiper is superb and excellent value for money. My only gripe really would be the lady who mans the swimming pool she comes across very abrupt and did make our swimming experience abit miserable with her constant pacing and moaning at people. I‚Äôm all for safety but she was picking flies with everyone. She told my son off for being away from me but he is over 8 and allowed to swim by himself in the pool besides I had my eye on him the whole time. I just think she needs to brush up on her people skills. Having said that it was truly a brilliant break so much so we‚Äôve booked for October ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ

Stayed for bank holiday weekend the site was lovely and clean the vans are way to close together bedding was missing and beds not made up which I paid for so shame there. Beach was so close and lovely. pool was a joke stuck with wrist bands on to get there to be told it was full and we would have to go get a ticket from reception and have to wait for our number to be called to go in no way!!! Entrance was a nightmare to find need bigger signage and drive way is one way traffic but u can't see. Kids entertainment was rubbish YouTube videos really we can do that at home then staff dance but don't show kids the moves 1st what's the point!?

I stopped here for 4 nights on 23rd July 2018. The cavavan I was given was a brilliant clean place the only down side was on the door there is a thumb lock to secure the door at night. I think this is a bad idea with young children. My 2 year old kept opening the door. I had to sleep in living room just in case he woke up and decided to open the door at night. The entertainment was very bad as the staff could not sing. The shows was like a bad karaoke night at a drunk bar. I really think there should consider sacking the entertainment manager. I hope the park read the reviews and contact me for feed back. The food in the chip shop was not good. The chips need longer and pizza Was not cooked for long enough. The food at the bar was also really bad. It cost 24 pounds for 2 pizza's 1 garlic bread and 2 chips. It was frozen crap. As a ex chef I really think food should be fresh and nice to eat. If you wouldn't eat it you shouldn't serve it to the customers.

Ok the caravan was 2 caravans down from where we had to park.( To get in the park was all one way. Dont think they thought it through) So lugging a double pram plus luggage wasnt easy as had to weave through other caravans. Not enough car parking! We were crammed in. Caravan was clean and basic and the heating was broken so we had several attempts at ringing reception to fix it. The site shop was total rubbish! Nothing a normal shop would stock, it focused more on bloody ice cream than basics. Swimming was a no no as there was always a queue. The site is huge yet only 15 people in the pool at one time for at least an hours swim. Really? We paid to get into a pool we couldnt use. You cant queue for an hour with under 2s. Night time entertainment. One mini disco for 15 minutes. Nothing for little kids. Couldnt get side by side twin buggy down the aisles at the bar anyhow. Loads of people smoking weed (20+) right outside the park sitting on settees in the road, flaunting it every night we were there. Where do I even start! We had such a wonderful holiday. From the kind, warm, welcome at check in to the smile on everyone's face everywhere we went on site, it was truly a very pleasant experience. Beautiful beach only a matter of minutes away, pool is spotless, shop and chippy very well priced and Chippy portions are generous, Sandpiper and Carousel Bar also very well priced, entertainment was great and mobile home was immaculate. I cant fault anything. And a big special thank you to Tony, who went above and beyond entertaining our son (even on his night off!). I can assure you, we will be back! 5 stars from us!

Well what can I say another fab year! A week wasn't long enough, we all enjoyed every second of it,and we did get some nice weather, the food was amazing and everyone so welcoming !!! the kids loved every second painting the pottery (which is a amazing add to the park),playing on the park and in the arcade and play area..and the gold stars have pulled it outta bag this year there take on sleeping beauty was fab my kids were glued to it and the signed pics and key rings were a great keepsake,they've been amazing this year with all there fun and games and my daughter was picked to go on stage and splat a egg on her head thankfully was hard boiled haha & they especially loved Tye and Tony...keep up the hard work guys, now to try and get big fish little fish cardboard box out of my head haha.. see you again soon !!! Booked a lodge for August 2019 so countdown is now on unless we pop back before then that is ÔŅĹ haha x

Well this week was our third year back at golden sands and as each time it gets better and better the camp is well run,maintained and really friendly everything is on you‚Äôre doorstep so no complaints from us but we just wanted to thank all the goldstars for another excellent week ty tony carly georgie sian rosie louie and paige you all were awesome and made our little family holiday more than worth it and my children had a blast again with you all the entertainment was second to none tony you are ace pal cameron always a top lad and a good laugh we hope you‚Äôre all here next year as we‚Äôve booked again to come for our 4th time so keep doing what you all do giving people the reasons to keep coming back each year gutted we had to come home but make us look forward our little family holiday next year so roll on 2019 we‚Äôll see you soon goldstars and golden sands ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ

We visited this park for the first time 18th / 25th june. The park is extremely well kept and very clean. The caravan was superb extremely comfortable, decking and patio. We went out for the day and came back to table and chairs on the patio which was lovely. The food was lovely and reasonably priced, 1 small complaint was I don't like dressings on salad but that is just my personal taste. The fish and chip shop was also well worth the money really good food and good sized portions but only same prices you would pay at home. There is direct beach access from the park. We will definitely visit this park again in the future.

We came home yesterday from a fantastic week in golden sands there is everything on the camp you need all the goldstars were brilliant with my daughter but paige and Tyler were fantastic with her she didn't want to leave at the end of the week that's when you know your child has had a good time so we will be back in July thankyou paige and Tyler Amy said she will see you soon

Want to say a massive thankyou to tony one of the gold stars he made our holiday fantastic and can’t wait to return again he was funny and entertained all five kids and even made my new partner blush sweet

WOW an amazing friendly family feel holiday park,made some amazing memories with my family,My children 14,8,3 all loved it the gold stars (kids entertainment) was awesome as well Tony and Sian in particular made us feel so welcome took the time to come and sit with us introduce themselves also tell us about themselves,but they all were amazing.

Our caravan was sea view which was perfect also,booked up for next year already as well.

Defo recommend golden sands to anybody.

This is our first time at golden sands Rhyl and I have nothing bad to say about the place. First of all I noticed how clean and tidy the grounds are kept, lawns being mowed, litter pickers out keeping on top of rubbish. In the club house they are super on top of collecting glasses and rubbish also.



-Chippy on site does lovely food, very tasty great size portions and fairly priced. It’s also clearly very hygienic.

-Shop is a little pricey but I find most shops on any caravan site a little excessive.

-Only ate at the restaurant once but when we did the food was good with no complaints here. Hubby is very fussy with his grub and he even cleared his plate so to me that says a lot.

-food to go is a handy service for a late night snack.



Swimming pool - not too big not too small, which is great for me as I don’t do crowds very well.

All kept very clean and the lifeguards are very much on the ball.



Staff were lovely from the start wherever we went we were served with a smile.

The gold star entertainers are amazing. These ladies and gents go above and beyond to entertain the children. ( and the adults- we had such a laugh ) They must work long hours but they never seem tired, probably because they are good at what they do.

Special shout out to Tony who got my daughter to come out of her shell, she loved having a dance with him, when she sees him she has a massive smile for him and goes all starry eyed ÔŅĹ (she‚Äôs only 4 ) he‚Äôs an amazing children‚Äôs entertainer and a great asset to golden sands Rhyl.



I’m going home Monday and will miss this place but without a doubt I will be back again soon.

The 3 of us loved our week away her , we don't drive so it was a great place to stay as everything is in walking distance. Great entertainment my 4 year old loved the disco each night. Caravan was clean and very spacious only down fall was the plug sockets next to the beds had a constant ringing noise got annoying. Apart from that we will definitely be returning next year... *****

Just come back from few days at golden sands... 3rd time in 4 years... only issue i have is as a wheelchair user the disabled toilet in the amusements is deffinetly not adequate, way to small and too ma y bins... also laundrette doorway, absolutly no way a wheelchair can get i there due to the frame at the bottom being around 2 inches tall, did comment 2 years ago and said would sort it but nope nothing done about it...

It’s an amazing holiday.. the gold stars are awesome and we have been coming here for years and we are a family that vary in ages from 6 to 84 and we all enjoy ourselves.. completely recommend this place to anyone!!

First time stayin on this site and 5 star all round we stayed in a bronze caravan and it was full central heating very clean 2 bathrooms was more like a silver it was so clean comfy cosy no problems what so ever club was great for the kids we did kids club in the morning n my daughter loved it making slime making crafts doing art etc the night time club was amazing to for kids my little 1 won a dancing comp n had to get up on stage for claim her prize and certificate she was over the moon she's only 3 all the gold stars were amazing rosie louie and another forgot her name great entrainment getting the adults involved hilarious to watch swimming was great no problems what so ever woman on reception forgot her name to was great in her customer service her helpfulness all round lovely family break 100 percent going to return and we are considering buying our own caravan after this stay thankyou so much to the goldstars they made my daughter and neices holiday fab ÔŅĹ

Excellent accommodation caravan was immaculate. All facilities were brilliant.

Very close to the beach, staff all very helpful and friendly especially towards the disabled children.

Meals in onsite restaurant were absolutely delicious. Recommend that if you go to try them.

The only downfall was on Sunday evening all food areas were closed after 7pm so couldn't get any supper onsite. Maybe that's something the management could improve.

Other than that fantastic holiday camp and would recommend it to anyone. Will definitely be going there again in the future.

Came here for a week with family, where do I start, caravan was spotless, nicest caravan I‚Äôve ever stayed in! The grounds are very well kept and very clean, can‚Äôt fault them at all! The swimming pool is a little small for the size of the park which was disappointing, but kids play area and football cage were great, arcade was a good size and the food served at the sandpit was delicious! Really quick service and reasonably priced too. Didn‚Äôt sample nighttime entertainment but played bingo once which was fun. The site is on the beaches doorstep which is amazing! 40 minute walk to Rhyl centre and 20 to Towyn. The weather was a bonus too ūüėā would definitely come here again!
