What a gem this place is, went in to get a new hybrid and get some advice on my driver. Turns out the driver I was “fitted” for by AG was completely unsuited to how I swing the club so we discussed options and I decided it would be best to buy a new properly fitted driver and I’m over the moon with the result. Even helped my technique a lot. Staff were really friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble and I felt like I wasn’t going to leave without the best equipment for me. Seriously can’t recommend enough, first rate ���

Went to gorilla golf last week, great staff very friendly, couldn't do anything but be helpful! Went for the new volvik balls, they didn't have the dozen box so made one from the display! You don't get that kind of service anywhere else!!

Visited today and had a custom fit with Lee .

Amazing service and a great choice of clubs and also excellent clothing range. If you haven’t been you need to pay them a visit.

Tried out my new 3 wood on the simulator before buying, had a nice cup of coffee while Adam regripped my putter. Left shop very happy.

Top service from the guys at Gorilla golf fast and efficient with a mint cup of tea while having new grips fitted on my clubs.

These guys are great and really helpful. Spent 2hrs with them when I bought my clubs, they ensured that I tried everything available, narrowed it down to what I was hitting best and then expertly fitted the best clubs for me (Ping G400's) and I love them.

Great selection of all things golf, putting section with an amazing range of putters to try out (with all the advice you need to get the right club for your stroke) and a great virtual golf range to test out the many clubs on offer.

I can't recommend them enough and they also make sure that they are competitive with their prices and welcoming with excellent coffee.

So I walked in looking for a putter, came out with a brand new set of Mizuno JPX’s�. Took my current Ping G25 irons to compare numbers on the Callaway XR’s that are currently on sale in the store. Lee quickly pointed out the Callaway’s wasn’t for me as my swing speed is too quick for the standard shaft option. Lee then went onto to do some more extensive testing with my current clubs and more options.. Lee quickly realised that my current clubs that were fitted by AG were completely wrong for my swing speed, set up and stance! After a lot of ball hitting, Lee recommend the Mizuno JPX forged as these provided the best numbers and performance. �. The sale wasn’t pushed onto me, and no biased recommendations were forced on me for better sales. A very friendly atmosphere and relaxed setting. Even had a free Pepsi straight from the fridge. Highly recommended over AG, get down and support your local store. I’ll definitely be going back down for Driver, Wood and putter fittings when im slightly better � Cheers Lee & Adam! Excellent store, big things too come..

Great shop, great people, always helpful and knowledgeable about their products. I have just been fitted for a 3 wood, they spent an hour and a bit with me and nothing was to much trouble. My son James (10) is always made to feel welcome and treated as an equal! Keep up the good work

Got “fitted” for a driver by a well known company recently. Shocking. I was spraying the ball everywhere.



Took my club to Gorilla **(despite not buying it from here)** and spent half hour with the guys.



Walked out with a different shaft and confidence in my club again.



Seriously, I had lost distance and accuracy from the fitting carried out by the other company. However Alex who served me today was very patient, very understanding and helpful in choosing a shaft that suited my erratic swing. Heavier shafts, stiffer shafts were all tried and tested with no time restraints.



Hit my last ball 270 yards and 1 yard offline!! Sold!!!



Thank you so much, will be sure to return!!

The Guys sorted me out a new shaft for my 3 Wood last week. Its like cheating! Goes as far as my mates using a driver! And dead straight too!!

Saving up now for an iron fitting! Thank you so much ���

Good prices, great set up in store. Bought a driver and wedge & was able to try the driver in store before buying, nice to have a golf shop like this so close by.

First class service time and effort put in. Matched him with the club to produce the figures. Well done men. Keep up the best service in the golf industry.

Friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble and never forced to purchase a specific brand. The staff there have plenty of time for customers and have never been pushy.

Excellent service! Went in to get my lie angles all checked and adjusted! Leon was great with me gave me all the advice I needed and made all the adjustments. Fast turn around and great price of £25 for everything (plus a cheeky discount for the new grip on the driver brought it to £34.99) more than worth it for a tighter dispersion on the irons. I will deffo be back next time I'm in Newport!

Brought some 2nd hand clubs couple weeks ago. As I'm only getting back into the game. Staff are friendly very polite and always willing to help but never pushy. Been back many time since to purchase the Footjoy Pro SL and other little bits. Absolutely lovely place. Will deffo be back for custom fitted clubs soon ��
