Gower Getaways is a family run holiday cottage agency based at the heart of Mumbles. Under new management from January 2017 we have a selection of 60 self catering cottages based around Mumbles, Gower and Swansea Bay.

I have nothing but praise for Gower Getaways. I found their team extremely helpful and efficient when dealing with my enquires. So much so, that I have booked another property with them.

Very poor customer service - don't be ripped off! I booked a holiday cottage at short notice and paid in full. Ten days after making my booking, they demanded an extra £50 cleaning charge for my two dogs - no mention of this when they accepted my booking or on their website. They would not send me the final details and directions until I had paid, and by then it was too late to cancel and find alternative accommodation. Standards of cleanliness were poor on arrival - can't imagine they were going to pay the cleaners an extra £50 after I had left. Then had to chase up the return of my deposit payment - not made on time because the managing director had been on a family holiday - which he freely admitted!!

Found Gowergetaways unprofessional and lacking in responsibility and ownership of problems. Booked holiday cottage which was not just unclean, it hadn't been cleaned for months. Paid hefty hire charge for 4 day plus a security deposit of £150 only had short term let (4 days) two days of which were marred by trying to get Andrew the Manager to face up to his responsibilities. Andrew came to inspect the property and said " the cleaners have let you down ", No, I replied, you have let me down, my contract and agreement is with Gowergetaways, not the cleaners! That just about sums it up really. Didnt want to acknowledge any responsibility or ownership of the problem and disappointment to customers coming to Mumbles on a 4 day break. Andrew used by excuse that business is not good at the moment, I wonder why? - I am a frequent visitor to the Gower but shall steer clear of Gowergetaways in future (first and last time) They are happy to whap up the prices and take your money, posing as a professional letting agency, but this outlet is far from professional. Andrew Hilton, your attitude is appalling!! if your business is suffering, take a good hard look in the mirror and ask yourself why?
