Its been a very long weekend! No beer left - think that is a good way to bow out! Thanks to everyone - and thanks for all the good luck wishes, cards and flowers - may have to buy more vases today! Now just have to find a new spot to stand on the on the other side of the bar!

So - tonight is our LAST one at the Grapes - 80's disco and karaoke with Gary H. Thanks to everyone who has supported us over the last three years - but time to hang up the bar towel! Good luck to Paula who is the new Landlady as of Monday.

Just realised NOT changed date of Setting Sons appearance at the Grapes. Unfortunately, Setting Sons unable to come on the 6th Sept due to personal reasons... BUT.... have kindly offered to come on 12th September... Will be a great, busy night!

Thank you to all that supported the Funday yesterday - a total of £206.10 for Lauren! Well done to all who came and thank you to all the lovely ladies that helped! Also a big thank you to Katy and Leonie who made loads of loom bands to sell!

As part of the Funday looking for volunteers to take part in the Ice Bucket Challenge - towels and water provided!

We are raising money for Lauren Hughes who needs a special piece of equipment to help her grip following a car accident / stroke. Lauren is only 21 years old and this special glove will transform her daily life. It is a disgrace that NHS will not pay for it! We will have bouncy castle, raffles, games, music all day and disco/karaoke at night. Just need the weather to be kind and everyone to join us!

Rhos and District Reds are holding their AGM at the Grapes on Thursday 21st August @ 8pm. All welcome!

All who are coming to Haydock/ Tom Jones Concert tomorrow - bus LEAVING the Grapes at 10.30. Weather forecast is great - should be a good day!

Fantastic News!! Just now confirmed that Setting Sons will be playing the Grapes on Saturday 6th September! Definitely a date for the diary.

Due to the lovely weather predicted for Sunday - we are postponing the Charity Day until later in the year - we DO still have the best DJ in Wrexham on Sunday Night - Paul DJ Magic! Happy Bank Holidays!
