The place was unkempt. Concrete paths were broken. Metal fences were rusty. They looked as though they hadn't been painted for years. The equipment in the kiddies play area was rusty too, and the slide and swings were on paving slabs, not safer soft surfaces, There were a couple of foxes that just paced the perimeter of their small enclosure non-stop. Two wolves showed the same distressed behaviour. Some cattle in a tiny shed, and the goats in the petting area hardly had room to turn around. Our two year old asked "Why do the animals look so sad?" A terrible, terrible place that shouldn't exist in this day and age.

Love this place. Pets corner is brilliant for children, can feed baby goats, get to know more about different animals that they bring out to pet also! Staff always friendly and willing to talk if you have any questions. Camping is great to wake up to the noises of the early rise animals.

The kids loved it and enjoyed getting to meet and pet the animals. Nice big playground with plenty of seats for supervising adults. Easy to get round in an afternoon

If you do go there we recommend going camping. We camped there just for the one night (it was a little stop over from north Wales to Manchester) and we had a really good time, the kids love it. The place is not massive but it's big enough to keep the kids busy for about 5hrs. Check in time is at 12:00pm so will recommend to be there by noon latest so you can make the most out of it to have enough time to see the animals at a slow pace. The price is very reasonable for camping coz the staying over includes the entrance for the park. Facilities and rides are old but are ok, staff are very polite and friendly

Some good animals for the kids to see. Fairly good soft play.
Whole place could do with a tidy up though, bit tatty in areas.

Felt the entry price was pricey but we loved the tractor ride and thought that was a good price. They've got a petting area with rabbits, chickens skunks and goat feeding; which is great for toddlers and kids.
The tractor ride went round their field with loads of extra animals. I'd recommend getting a seat in the first cart as the driver feeds the animals during the ride, you'll see more in the first cart.
The outdoor play area was big with plenty of choice but a bit run down and I felt for the price you're paying you'd expect to see a few more improvements going on around the place.
We did catch a few animal talks with the keepers which were informative and well worth trying to time and listen to, they're brief but good.
We also caught a few rides in the fairground, again they were cheap enough as we'd bought tickets, but it felt like a refurb was needed just to liven up the atmosphere etc.
They've got a soft play area, small but a good plan B if it did get too wet or cold outside. There was also a cafe serving hot food and plenty of picnic benches.
All in all there's loads of choice of things to do when you're there, but it's not the place I'd keep going back to because of the price. I'd be tempted to go for the day and fit as much in all at once to make it more value for money.
