Great as a touring site. Good dog walking path. Very welcoming friendly warden. All pitches fully serviced. Concrete base for caravan, gravel area for awning.

Lovely park very clean both outside and the bar restaurant and entertainment. The restaurant hasn't got the best reviews on Tripadvisor so have only had coffee and wine. Near to the best of North Wales has to offer and it's a fabulous base to explore. Although you don't need to leave enough to do you are touching black rock beach and Porthmadog.
My only criticism is the lack of wifi. It's free in the communal areas but nothing on the park, I would be happy to pay to have decent coverage.
Fab for all ages.

The resort itself is clean enough, staff very friendly, and feels safe. The kids activities were great and we did have a good holiday, from days on site to exploring areas within an hours drive.

Some major drawbacks that mean we'll probably not come back to this particular site though. .. The most expensive "prestige" caravans felt very bog standard, not worth the high cost we paid for the "latest and best"... If anything it felt a bit run down. The kids room leaked in heavy rain on the last night and my son had to sleep on the sofa, as his bed was soaked and next to a wet live socket. There's no way they've not been told about it already, it wasn't a small leak.

The beach also feels like it's been miss represented on the website... Claims to be private, clean, kid friendly and free to explore the dunes, the pictures show perfect, open sandy beaches with families running around. The reality was very different, it's overrun with cars and trucks... Some pulling jet skis, some just using the beach as a car park to get out and let their dogs run free. The cars don't go slow, and I couldn't let my young kids walk to the water on their own for fear of them being crushed or knocked over. If you find a space on a dune that doesn't have litter, then you're basically looking out as cars lined up on the sand between you and the sea, with tracks where the cars speed up and down. We used the beach once, which was disappointing really as we paid for a beach resort to get some body boarding and dingy action in with the kids.

So resort is nice, but caravans are hit and miss, and the beach is unsafe for young families, but great if you want to drive up to the beach with a jet ski, boat, or picnic from the car.

Well run holiday park, clean and tidy with Lots of amusements and activities for kids and grown ups alike. Indoor swimming pool is a good size and modern. Children's Outside splash area was also very popular. Well stocked shop and the Mash and Barrel restaurant has a varied menu with very reasonable prices. Outdoor play park is bordered by a patio where adults can sit and have a meal or drink and watch their children play in complete safety. Can thoroughly recommend this park for an enjoyable holiday.

Beautiful place to stay. Beach on the doorstep and lovely walks nearby. Facilities are brilliant, club, arcade, chip shop and shop onsite. Perfect place for families, walkers, couples, etc. Dog friendly and they can go pretty much everywhere on site with you. Lovely mountains or coastal walks around and Porthmadog village is not far with a steam train you can take a trip on.

I pretty much grew up on this site as a child and it's just got better and better over the years. They really do place emphasis on the kids being entertained so adults can chill out and relax a little more. So many activities for the kids to do. Great food and drink also.

Now I find myself taking my kids here every year. They love it and so do i still.

If you can do not hesitate go and have a great time.

Great venue for families with younger children. My kids loved the pool and outdoor splash area. Good food available in the Mash & Barrell and reasobable prices for drinks.

The entertainment is always good and adequate seating.

The beach is great and easy to get to.

The accomodation was perfect with no issues.

Great clean caravan; helpful staff. Didn't use the clubhouse or other facilities much but they seemed alright, maybe a little tired. Perfect location on the beach in beautiful surroundings. Good base to explore the area with the facilities there as an option in poor weather.

So first of all this is the third Haven resort I have been to and to be honest I was very disappointed by a few things. We chose this resort because of the great beaches that looked like heaven for our three kids.

I was really disappointed by the following:

1) There was no warning whatsoever that the beach is a favourite hangout for boy racers and irresponsible idiots driving their 4x4's at a rate of knots up and down this "child friendly" beach. Haven, you exist because of families with children and I feel like this is an accident waiting to happen (see image)

2) The climbing frame and soft play are pitiful. Kids were basically standing in queues to go down a slide.

3) The main swimming pool is quite small and gets really packed. 2 of my kids got beach balls smashed into their faces by over eager teenagers. Life guards just let them carry on. I just feel that this is not suitable for pools full of families with toddlers.

Overall I would only recommend Greenacres Holiday Park if it is mid-summer and you have older children who are there purely for the beach. Also, if your child does not have heroic car/camper/4x4 dodging abilities give it a miss.
