We saw the Links on the way into Llandudno and thought it would be a good place to eat so found our way back to it later in the day. We were not diappointed. We discovered a dog friendly pub where the staff made us (me, daughter and husband) and 2 dogs feel very welcome. Good choice of food, the lamb wellington I had was well cooked and very tasty. Unfortunately we were only there for the day but would gladly return.

User

We loved it that much that we asked to stay another night. Being on my own with my daughter gets a little lonely. Not here! Nina and her team were so friendly and chatty and lovely. The food was scrummy and had loads of variety. The staff were so hardworking and lovely. Very impressed. Thankyou all

User

Lovely place. Friendly staff. Food was super. I'd give it 8 out of 10 for the food. Would have got 9 only for a couple of things. Carrot and horrible coriander soup. Gaad. And somehow the veg could've done with cooking more. Chantary carrots and broccoli both hard. Other than that. Spot on roast dinner and apple crumble hit the spot for pudding. Will deff go again next time we in the area

User

Had family stay at the links rooms are fantastic as is the food & service in short the hotel is clean, friendly & with a great atmosphere . On behalf of the family we would like to thank acting manager 'Nina' her husband Ben & all the staff for making there stay such a memorable one nothing was ever to much trouble thanks again

Kind regards Tom

User

Food was amazing but it took far too long to be served nearly an hour. However manager apologised profusely and gave us a drink on the house and money off our meal thank you. Would definitely recommend going lovely.

User

Been eating at the links this week whilst enjoying a break each time we have eaten the service has been outstanding make us feel very welcome especially our son who is Down’s syndrome and can be a bit fussy but he has loved it ,and the food quality fantastic we have tried the lamb steak , sea bass , and both pies steak/ cheese , would recommend all these dishes in particular the sea bass has this was my favourite,

Very clean, lovely room, friendly staff, free parking, Asda and 2 shopping centres less than 5 minutes walk. Quiet and relaxing. Freshly cooked breakfast. Only downside was the bed wasn't comfortable but l do have a sore back and hip so that's only issue if you have back problem.

User

Lovely lunch here today (21/3/18). Chicken liver pate with chutney, toast, and salad. Sea bass on a bed of sauté potatoes and veg with a buttery sauce was absolutely gorgeous! Two courses for £10.95, from Lite Lunch menu was excellent value , but only available on weekdays. Others with me enjoyed the thick-as-semolina Spicy Parsnip soup to start and Waffle with Vimto berries and ice-cream. Friendly, efficient service and wide choice of dishes. Huge car park, disabled access, smart decor.

User

After reading quite a few negative reviews I was a bit apprehensive about trying when my husband booked it for Mother's Day. But I was pleasantly surprised, the Mother's day menu was lovely - especially the salmon. The staff were helpful and willing to accommodate my son's fussy pudding requests. The kids menu was Ok, much the same as any other pub menu. I would definitely eat there again.

User

Staff were great accommodating and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble .... the food came out and it was wrong . Also hardly any steak at all in the steak baguettes. We had to ask for extra . Lovely setting and kids liked the play area just a Shane the food was poor

User

It's ok..

We went for a meal at the relaunch.

Staff were very attentive. Food was ok but not exactly record breaking.

We went back for food around a month ago, 3 times our order was returned. 3 times it was wrong! The staff didn't seem to care to be honest!

Quite simply we went back last night just to meet friends as it was central for everyone.

Otherwise I'd probably give the place a massive swerve!

User

Had the sharing platter cost nearly £12 not even a pounds worth of food on the platter very poor value for money avoid

User

Didnt want the bad reviews to put us off so decided to book for the three course Sunday lunch, We were shown to our table straight away and served our drinks quickly. Starters went to the wrong table, waitress realised and said there had been a mix up in the kitchen with table numbers so we had our starter which was ok. Main courses also went to the wrong table but this time the other diners started to eat the mains, bearing in mind they were still waiting for their starters! 20 mins or so later we had our mains, but did not enjoy one bit, apart from the Yorkshire pudding which was ok, lamb was overcooked, broccoli and cabbage were undercooked and i found a hair in my veg which put me off completely, couldnt finish our mains after that so we decided not to stay for pudding, been looking forward to eating here, Gutted

Came here the other day as it looked really nice and thought we would give it a go. Bar staff slow with ordering drinks and food. Food arrived was cold we orderd off the specials (2courses for so and so) we waitied 20 minutes and still no waitress to clear our plates we left before having the dessert. (Place wasnt even busy) would of had better service and food in a fast food resturant.

User

Ordered the steak sandwich which came on a soggy bap steak unedible full of fat and chewy. Table next to us asked for a glass of house red to be told we dont have a house red but can do a merlot or shiraz ??? Service slow not asked how our meal was!! Wont recommend and wont be returning!! Such a shame

My wife and I went for lunch on Saturday lunchtime, I decide to go for the baby ribs for a starter. The ribs had been overcooked and were tough. My wife had gammon and egg the presentation of the dish was very poor and the egg baked hard on the bottom .The waitress agreed to change the egg due to its condition and came back with a broken egg ? ? . My main arrived it was mussels in a garlic and wine sauce , there was no sauce just mussels in water. The waiter was very confused as to what the dish should look like but returned with a separate jug with sauce in which made it very difficult as the mussels were swimming in water . The mussels were very tough probably due to being overcooked. We raised the issue with the waiters and the manager who refunded our costs .I have no issues with the waiting on staff or the bar staff who were doing a great job with very poor service from the kitchen. I can only conclude that the chef was having a very bad day . Atmosphere was great and rest of staff superb ,such a shame to be let down by poor service from the chef .

Management- DISGUSTING

Food quality- AWFUL

Waiting staff- WONDERFUL

Today we sent 5 roast dinners back to the kitchen as the ‘lamb’ was essentially shredded fat.

We observed other tables doing the same before and after us.

When my husband asked to speak to the manager these are the responses he got:

When he said that the food quality was awful (he’s a chef) SHE responded ‘well we’ve served over a hundred roasts today and there weren’t any other problems’. (Perhaps that was the issue, we got served the dregs)

When he said, we weren’t the only table to have sent food back, we observed others SHE responded ‘well they’ve obviously only done it because you did’ to which he pulled her up on her manner.

We left without paying we were so disgusted.

We got talking to a young family in the car park who had witnessed this and who had also sent their food back, they were disgusted and said they were off to McDonald’s.

The waiter and waitress were both LOVELY, couldn’t have been more pleasant. The manager should be removed from post immediately!

I’ve driven past here few times and thought I would give it try! Shouldn’t of bothered! poor service with average food! Drinks took ages to arrive too table! I’ll be driving straight passed this place in the future! Plenty more places to eat in Llandudno!
