Wonderful little railway with a uniquely intimate and direct feel. Staffed by knowledgeable and friendly volunteers, don't expect the signage to fill in all the gaps, but take plenty of time and you can chat to staff who will. Highly recommended.

Fabulous journey with cream tea and best cup of tea. The gentlemen were good company and served us well. Would definately recommend it to everyone.

Fantastic experience for steam trains. They provide a Sunday lunch and also take passengers on other days.

It is fully run by volunteers and they are really welcoming, educating and friendly. They stop along the way for close up photos.

This little reserved railway feels a bit worn out. They obviously don't have the man power or the money to maintain the line, buildings and trains to the sort of standard a train enthusiast would like to see. Saying that we had a nice day out. It was a good job it didn't rain tho, as there is no shelter on the platform. The scenery was lovely and our fellow passengers, friendly. I wouldn't travel a great distance to visit this railway but if you're nearby you may like to pop in.

Great place for an afternoon out- took our grandson aged 11 here 2 years ago and he loved it. Suggested going again with his 11 year old sister and her was very keen to go back. For a boy who would spend all day on his computer if you let him it's a surprise he loves this place even at aged 13. Dog friendly which is always a plus for us. Extremely pleasant and knowledgeable staff - mostly manned by volunteers I think. Cafe is reasonably priced with tasty sandwiches and cakes.

Traveled the Sunday Lunch train. It was wonderful! Really nice train staff. Food was great! Hot and tasty and filled the plate! Well priced for a Dining train. Can't wait until the railroad line is lengthened, will go again!

It's a great place for a family to spend time. Not a big ride but just being in a steam engine train makes this worth it

Interesting visit despite short journey. Promising extension should be open soon (check website). Friendly staff. Volunteers needed.

Lovely old station manned by lovely people. The volunteers have done a fantastic job and the best mug of tea I've had in a long time. The trains are well restored, are very comfortable and the views are to die for.
