Gyg Karting Ltd

This is slightly different to a normal review for GYG as we organised and ran round 7 of the Cool FAB-Racing British Minibikes Championship there last weekend.
This is the most important Championship of it's type in the UK and involved a large number of competitors running in Junior and Senior classes and, as it was our first time at the circuit, it took quite a bit of sorting out.
Timing, marshals, commentary, filming, event centre, paddock area, medical cover, all had to be set up ready to run a 3 day race meeting. It was a pleasure to work with the super helpful staff who made all of this an easy and problem free task and, despite the rain that came from time to time, it was a great meeting producing close racing in all the classes.
My only complaint was that the super clean reception and restaurant areas left me feeling guilty having to walk in with wet shoes from the rain on occasions!!

Nice track but the price of canteen is so over the top £5 for a half pint of milk with squirt cream on top with four little marshmallows in it ( milkshake) is over the top must be 500% mark up on that never will be eating or drinking in there again

Excellent facilities, staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Spotlessly clean. Spent the afternoon there we will definitely be going back. Great family fun

If you are going here for arrive an drive, don't bother. Paid £38 for 20 minutes on track (£2 a lap/minute) to be told that the kart, 270cc doesn't have the facilities to record lap times and only the 400cc karts do this. I explained I would pay extra to upgrade and was told this wasn't possible unless I was a party of 8 or more.

The only reason I booked this is to race is the fastest kart and have timed laps. I do not believe the kart was 270cc I didn't break once round the whole track with my foot fully on the accelerator.

Feel ripped off. Save your money!

I just want to say a BIG thank you to all staff members at GYG and to "Gemma" for organising the surprise Birthday Party for my husband. I came here with my husband and a few of his friends. My husband is an F1 fan and this is the best Karting Circuit we have ever been too. We did a GP Sprint Event and it was fantastic fun. I loved the whole set up, it is extremely professional and the staff were extremely friendly and polite. The best bit was my two young girls who are aged 10 and 13 years were desperate to have a little go managed to Kart inbetween the Event and that made the day even more special. Highly recommended! 👍🏻

I come to test here every once in a while (wish I could come a lot more frequently). Staff have always been great no complaints. Also this is one of the best tracks in the uk.
