I went there to get a side light changed on my car and all the man did was moan about how tricky it was to do it on my car. Can't do the job? Get a job you can do!

Don't get me wrong I love Halfords choice and prices. Not many people are aware but you can secure a bike from there with a £1.00 deposit and pay it off at a £1.00 a week or less if you want. So for that I award them 5 stars. However Halfords Rhyme staff really need lessons in customer care. I got my daughter a second hand bike and took it to Halfords as it was in need of both front and back brakes as well as a check up and service. When I returned to pick the bike up a couple of days later only one brake had been done and a couple of other jobs had been missed also, however on the receipt I had been charged for both brakes and the other jobs as well as labour for the jobs. I left the bike with them again and was told the brake would be in in about a week. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances I was unable to pick the bike up for about 6 weeks, in which time I had received a letter telling me the bike was ready. When I returned to pick the bike up the brake had still not been sorted and also they had the cheek to add more money on to my bill. After some discussion the bill was reduced and I said I would take the bike elsewhere. I was at the till about to pay my bill when a member of staff came over and said I couldn't take the bike because it had been in their warehouse so long it would have to be checked again for tightness and such. I was not a happy bunny but thought I would give them another chance to sort the brake as well. I returned when the bike was ready to find the brake had still not been fitted and they had added yet more money to my bill for doing absolutely nothing. To add insult to injury another member of staff tried telling me that, that particular bike was not designed to have a front brake, even though the exact same bike was for sale in store with both a front and back brake. And just to top the total farce off, yet more money had been added to my final bill, for a front brake that wasn't there and the labour to fit it. I hadn't paid a great deal for the bike but if I had paid Halfords the money they were asking it would have cost 8X more than I paid for the bike.

Headlight bulb fitted wrong way shone 3 feet in front of car. Did not refit cover light filled with moisture.

Never met a bunch of clueless dimwits in my life at all, the simplest of tasks, made a complete meal out of me purchasing a cycle & then asked if I wanted them to build it, after seeing someone the states of the display bikes i declined there offer, think my 2 year old lad can do better! On a serious note, where do you find these people to hire?
