About Harbour Light Tearoom And B&B

We serve brunch bites, sandwiches and paninis. Freshly baked scones and cakes and artisan tray bakes. Coffee is served in cafetieres, so no Italian style beverages.

Harbour Light Tearoom And B&B Description

Situated on the West side of Burry Port Harbour, the Harbour Light Tearoom and B& B is open for business. This lovely house has been transformed to offer a comfortable Tearoom downstairs and two beautifully appointed en-suite guest bedrooms upstairs.

Laura & Richard Elston are looking forward to welcoming you to their new venture, having previously run an eleven bedroomed Guest House in Cumbria, they were looking forward to a new adventure closer to their family.

In the Tearoom we serve Welsh Brew Tea, Earl Grey Tea and various herbal teas. Welsh Brew Medium Coffee is served by the cafetiere, so we do not offer the various Italian style coffees. Cakes and scones are made fresh and the choice varies every week, so it worth popping in to see if your favourite is available.

We are a dog friendly establishment. Dogs on leads are welcome in our conservatory at the rear of the property which can be accessed via the path down the left hand side of the building. Also dogs on leads are welcome in the front garden weather permitting.

On the walls of the tearoom we are showcasing local artists on a 3 month rotation.

Please check our Access Statement for information on ease of access to the Tearoom for all visitors.

Facilities available:

* FREE WiFi
* Indoor & Outdoor Seating
* Pre-loved books to browse & buy (the money goes to charity)

Wonderful tearooms in lovely surroundings. The staff were very welcoming and extremely accommodating. A great selection of homemade delicacies, the Carrot Cake is a must, absolutely delicious. I cannot wait to return.

We popped in yesterday after a walk along the front. We had our dog with us and there was no problem with her coming in as well. We both had the hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows which was really lush.

Will definitely be visiting again.

Visited on two occasions . Service (with a smile) is first class, food is excellent, all washed down with hot tea or coffee ( or both,in my case!). Dogs are welcome in the conservatory, which is a big plus. I highly recommend a visit.

Richard and Laura's years of hospitality experience really shows in their tearooms and B&B. They are lovely hosts and more than willing to make their visitors feel at home. The room was very comfortable, with plenty of space. Thank you both for a lovely stay, I will certainly be back!

I've had the absolute pleasure of having a sneak preview of Laura & Richard's Tearoom and B&B and tasting some of their delicious home made cakes. Look forward to the imminent opening. Lovely location looking over the harbour, great walks and cycling on the coastal path.

I was looking for somewhere new locally to go with my daughter so we could spend some “us” time together. We’d noticed the Harbour Light Tearoom when we’d gone for a walk in Burry Port previously and decided to try it on our next visit.

The welcome and service we received was perfect. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, just right for a Saturday morning. There is a small amount of seating at the front of the premises but we were welcome to use the bigger area at the back, which I thought may have been reserved for B & B guests. My daughter had a chocolate ice cream and a glass of milk - she wanted it creamy and was delighted when it was served to her with a generous helping of “squirty cream” on top. My filter coffee was served in an individual caffitiere, with plenty of milk in a jug at the side. The dark chocolate rocky road style biscuit I had was delicious. My only disappointment was that they didn’t have carrot cake on the day we went. Hopefully they’ll have it next time we go!

I used to work with Laura many years ago. She took great pride in her work back then and puts 110% into everything. Richard and Laura's B&B and Tea Room will be so warm and welcoming and a lovely place to visit. Good luck you two.

User

I know the proprietors well and know how popular and well liked their last venture was. I know that anyone visiting Harbour Light Tearoom and B&B will enjoy delicious home made cakes etc and will be warmly welcomed and looked after, whether it is popping in for tea and cake or staying in the B&B you will not be disappointed.

User

Friendly and relaxing, good value at last a place in Burry Port Harbour that you can rely on for a friendly welcome. i would highly recommend to dog walkers cyclists and visitors.

User

Fabulous cream tea. Lovely homely conservatory which we were able to take the dogs in to. Would highly recommend visit to toilet. Soo posh. Will definitely visit again and recommend.

User

Dropped in on the off-chance with my husband after a wander around the harbour with our cameras, and was pleasantly surprised to see this had opened next door to the old cafe (now closed) We sat outside due to the good weather but noticed that the inside was larger than expected. Staff were friendly, food was good and reasonably priced. Lots of small gifts for sale but as a book lover I love the idea of having pre-loved books for sale - all neatly arranged on shelving in many places.

As frequent visitors to Burry Port for its photographic opportunities , we will definitely return .

User

A lovely tea room in a lovely location. We were served by a lovely lady who turned out to be the owner, she makes the delicious scones fresh every day. Just across the road from the harbour highly recommend a visit

Stopped for a Coffee and Hot Chocolate after a dog walk....

Coffee was OK but very milky.... Hot Chocolate was disappointing... Just an instant one...

Had some Banana Cake that was quite dry...

Still ate it!

My first visit today. I asked for a latte and a sausage sandwich. I was told they don't serve latte, however they have the 2 ingredients, coffee and milk?????

I was told they did cafetières so I opted for that. I was also asked if I wanted white or malted bread. I chose malted. When my sandwich arrived it was made with white bread.

I was the only customer, so they can't blame being busy for mixing up the order.
