what made it was our waiter John Davies who was serving us, what a lovely lovely man, excellent at his job, need more people like him in this world

we went to pontypool harvester on friday 26th for my son's 18th birthday meal there was 20 of us altogether the staff were brilliant, the food came really quick & was hot, our waitress harri went above & beyond she brought my son's dessert out with a candle in it & sang happy birthday to him nothing was any trouble she made it as much of a good night as everyone turning up we been to harvester before & we have never had this good service it haven't been bad before but this time was outstanding a massive thank you to harri my grandson who is 10 months even enjoyed his kids meal and it was cooked seperate due to his milk allergy so no complaints

Would like to say what a lovely meal all thanks to Drew the chief, would also like to thank John what a lovely guy, nothing was to much for him thanks John

Went to the Harvesters IN Pontypool for a family meal tonight Saturday 13th Jan the waitress was awesome, lovely service with a smile and made us laugh top class service,funiest waitress i ever met,her name was Harri, i am fed up of ppl sending negative remarks about the Harversters in pontypool(although your all entitled to your opinion ), TBH we had a fab night and enjoyed it alot, well done to Harri,you need recognition for you efforts hun,you work hard all of you ,nice to have a night to remember, ty x

This place is amazing every time I have went there. They have always been very good. They bring your food out nice and worm it is a good serving and the food comes very fast I love this place. It's good if you are going for a celebration.

The gent who served us was brilliant, his name was john and i couldnt fault him. He was great with the kids and his happy and humorous nature was refreshing. The food was great value and arrived in good time and was still hot! The atmosphere was peacefull and felt relaxed.

Will be coming again and recommending to friends.

Really helpful and nice staff , we went for mothers day they had a set list for mothers day aswell as the usual menu, will definitely go again.

Had a. Valentines meal on the 14th lovely food fab service provided by the lovely harri will definitely be going back great menu to

Had a meal down here last night, was served by Matt L and have honestly never received service like it in any other harvester or restaurant in general. I ordered food which I didn’t like (as described on the menu, totally my fault) and Matt saw me scraping cheese off my burger which is embarrassing in it self, however he was super professional and offered to have some fresh food cooked for me. He was a lovely chatty guy who really made our night. Thanks Matt x

A warm and welcoming harvester. Great service by great staff and delicious food! I will be definitely be returning soon!

I chose to take my mum there as the disabled parking bays are closer to the entrance than most places to eat.



My mum has a very poor appetite and was allowed to eat from the children's menu. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. She even assisted us to change tables as the sun was in our eyes.



Our food was excellent.

Great service.....83 combo v tasty. love the harvester sauces. Salad bar fresh although selection could be improved same ole thing. Some nice salad rices/diff pastas etc. Unlimited drink selected but struggled to find one that actually tasted like vanilla or cherry etc.

Dont like the fries as they tend to be dry bit lots of alternatives to choose from.

I like harvy. Im a regular...... good food reasonable prices. Easy going staff. Nice homely welcoming decor...... thank you xxx

Went to this harvester this week the food was nice but for wot i had it seemed pricey! The salad was lovely as always! Its gone downhill generally as a restaurant

Went there yesterday really bizzy.had to wait 35 minutes for food..dishes need upgrading think they been thro the dishwasher to long now black marking all over them.. dirty desert spoons too.

Food was not great,ordered jerk ribs there was no jerk seasoning,had to ask for a sauce we had ordered, it arrived half way through are meal, service was pretty shoddy no one asked if we were happy with our meals, on one asked if we wanted drinks, ordered desserts waitress came back 5 minutes later to say they didn’t have the desserts we ordered,if they were really busy I would overlook the service but they were not at one point I counted 6 members of staff chatting behind the bar,

Last time I visit harvester pontypool.

Pop in tonight avnt been for a while menu not enough variety, plus was told my wife couldnt have something off the kids menu she only wanted a risotto which wasnt on the adults menu but was on the kids in the end she was told she could have it but they had to add salad which shes was charged £4 for to turn it into a adult plate even tho she just wanted the risotto and when it came out it wasnt much bigger than what my kids had.hope u improve it for your sakes as you just lost our costume.WE WONT BE BACK!�

And after two attempts of asking for my steak medium to well had blood in both times !

I don't see this as unlimited breakfast when you can only order a certain amount of each item. Continental breakfast was non existent. Where were the croissants? Food came cold to luke warm. Service was shoddy and the staff are extremely miserable. Not worth the £8.49. Best part was the hot cup of tea. I will not recommend this place for breakfast.
