We ate at your restaurant this evening and had a great experience. Food was superb (and lots of it, good portions), the lady who served us, a mature lady with short black hair, sorry we didn't get her name! was fantastic. Rushed off her feet with a few large parties in our section, nothing was too much trouble and she was very friendly and welcoming. She made it a pleasure to visit. We'll return soonļæ½

Not been to our local harvester for a long time due to a bad experience, we had heard via a friends friend Zoe that it has improved, and I can say yes it has, me and my son both had a lovely meal, the salad bar was clean and tidy and well stocked. We were looked after and treated well, my son has lots of disabilities and can't talk very well but he loved saying hello and trying his best to ask for his own meal a young girl called Beth had lots of patience with him, and he even looked at the menu again on our way to the exit to choose his next meal ready for when we visit again..

looking forward to our next visit

I have eaten at The Harvester for many years. Everytime its been exellent. Food and service. Its the old saying. You cant please all the people all the time. If the moaners are not happy. Then stay at home and cook your own food.

User

Harvester Gorseinon really excelled last night, hosting a triple birthday party for 20. They took time to decorate the table with lots of helium balloons to set the mood brilliantly. Chloe had plenty of time for us & made us all feel so welcome & appreciated. Orders were taken promptly & efficiently with care & a warm smile. She managed the 12 girls in her stride. Food was quick to arrive & was very tasty. Salad bar was lovely. The 3 birthday girls all enjoyed free desserts & those desserts were spectacular, a real talking point. We loved our visit & will definitely be back again & again!

Called here bank holiday Monday sat in the beer garden for a drink before going inside for a table. We had a table immediately and was offered drinks straight away. The waitress was very nice and friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our meals. I have to say iv been a few times here with my partner as he lives local and I havnt been disappointed always left quite full.

User

Took ages to get served. 20-25 minute wait for drinks because they had "ran out of clean glasses". A good 30 minute wait to pay. Ask waitress if we can just pay and leave and she disappears to get the card machine but instead serves another table. Finally comes back and just gives us our bill. Another 10 minute wait to pay. All in all we spent an hour and 30 minutes here when all we had was one course! At least the food was good.

User

Had a lovely meal this evening.I had Vegetarian meal, my Husband had Gammon. Staff were polite and friendly.

User

Enjoyed the Gammon BUT at approx 7pm on a Friday evening you don't expect a restaurant to run out of Scampi which was my original order!! Unfortunately it's the 2nd time it's happened no wonder I don't go very often - the salad bar was running very low as well which is a shame because plenty of people (Inc ourselves) were quite content to wait 20 minutes for a table. On the plus side the waitress was lovely and the lemon n lime was delicious! Thinking maybe have to find somewhere else to go hopefully where Scampi is available

User

The breakfast is not worth going. Unlimited breakfast bar is... limited in choices, there's nothing hot in the breakfast bar, you have to order a cooked breakfast seperate. Nothing like youd get at a hotel

User

Not impressed with the food tonight to much better on everything salad bar was empty and bland pay over 40 quid for shit food will not be returning

User

Just left harvester in gowerton and to say I am disappointed in the service would be an understatement. My whole family were half way through eating our toast when we found mold on the slices. No sorry when I approached the waitress, she simply said that it was a fresh batch of bread. Then came to our table and said 'give me the rest'. No offer of more toast ( im aware it's self service...but I would have thought the courteous thing would have been to offer more since it was no fault of our own and an obvious fault on their part of not checking the food they put out for the public to eat. The situation remained unmentioned by any member of staff to us...lovely to see that our service is valued so much that they brushed this mishap completely under the carpet. Will not be returning and I am expecting nothing to be done about this as this is clearly how harvester train their staff to deal with such situations.

User

Food was tasty and reasonable, unfortunately there was not enough staff working, I had to leave my table on numerous occasions to seek out a waiter first to order drinks, then to order my meal and finally give up waiting for the table to be cleared and order deserts.

Pretty poor show tbh, dismal customer satisfaction!

User

Wont be returning every meal was either over cooked or under cooked service was terrible waited nearly 10mins to be acnolaged for a table even tho numerouse staff walked past and wasnt packed there

User

Went to this harvester with my husband, mum and little boy who is nearly two. We waited 50 min for our meal. My little one wasnā€™t impressed and had got so upset he then wouldnā€™t eat. My food was terrible half way in I can only describe this how it was. I ate a chip that tasted very strange. Infact this isnā€™t me using derogatory terms but the chip tasted like cow manure. This made me gag I was then sick. All they did was refund my meal. My mum didnā€™t finish hers as she was put off by mine.

User

Went to the Harvester with my son a couples of days ago what a mistake. I have been laid low with food poisoning since that evening (Tuesday now Thursday) and this was the only food I had that day so nothing else can be blamed. I believe it was a prawn. There were three on the plate in breadcrumbs. The first one went in and I thought it was a bit soft. I cut the second one and it was mush. They must have been frozen and then put in the fryer but not for long enough!!! We have not been here for about 3 yrs and i have to say the food on the plate looked a poor effort. They say you eat with your eyes, I wish I had. Still that's a few pound gone that was put on over Christmas.

User

Today, 6th April, as a family thought we would try a meal here, usually go to Morfa Harvester. What a mistake!, booked table online which was fine, took about 30 minutes to receive our drink glasses. Salad bar- had to wait 5 minutes for a bowl, salad bar selection was poor with a high number of duplicated items. Bread rolls on offer? About 10, only margarine, not any butter.

Other customers complained, like myself thought would give this Harvester a try.........

Thursday 29th March:My mum brother And I thought we would give this place(our local restaurant)another chance after our last experience being terrible having breakfast! We arrived 9:50am and we're just 'dumped' our table by a male(who I later found out was called Rob?and who he said was the 'assistant manager')with menus. The place wasn't very busy(only one table with about a family of 6?)We didn't member of staff in sight! There was no 'your waitress won't be long' or can I get you any drinks(from rob?)10:00am still no member of staff,we were just left sitting there like you would say 'lemons'!10:10am we felt at this point that we had been waiting a long time with no acknowledgement from anybody who if the so called member of staff(who said he was the 'assistant manager')should have known better!!On leaving the restaurant totally upset with the way in which we had been treated having not eaten breakfast,on complaining as we walked out ,I felt that the 'assistant manager' didn't have any care in the world,in fact he argued that we had only been waiting 5 minutes and his laptop/I pad?and coffee were more important to him.I manage a team of about 20 staff(partner works in hospitality)and would never ever have any of my staff treat customers in the way in which he dealt with my complaint today!Shame on you harvester gorseinon! What terrible customer service!!!my family and friends will never visit again!!

User

Really bad service on arrival 2 adults and 2 children. We were not given children's menus or activity pack. The place was quiet and 2 staff were on mobile phones. Only half the Order arrived initially with a 10 minute wait for the 2nd 2 meals. Part of the side dish never even turned up. Chicken was overdone. Never again sorry.

User

I donā€™t usually do FB reviews but Iā€™ve been giving this particular Harvester benefit of the doubt for a while now and Iā€™m disappointed after every time. Just come away from there now after changing our minds on having a carvery else where.Four of us were seated straight away which I was happy about because my two young kids were with us. It took 20 minutes to ask if we wanted a drink (which I didnā€™t really mind) Then the food arrived 40 minutes after that so weā€™d waited an hour for food (which I still didnā€™t mind, thank god for the salad bar). I was so looking forward to it but it was cold ... I tried to eat it but couldnā€™t force down cold fried eggs and steak. Didnā€™t want to wait longer for another meal because my partner was already annoyed heā€™d eaten his on his own..He gave me his corn on the cob out of pity haha. Really liked the look of one of the new desserts but didnā€™t wanna stick around any longer. The manager (I think he was) give me a refund on my food which I was glad of but Iā€™m back home hungry. Wonā€™t be coming back again as it wasnā€™t just a one off.
