Hayes Point Description

Hayes Point, formerly Sully Hospital, a tuberculosis and subsequently psychiatric facility, is located to the south of Hayes Road, Sully. It comprises land and buildings totalling some 57 hectares, overlooking the Severn Channel. The former hospital was designed by William Pite, Son and Fairweather and completed between 1932-1936. It is now recognised as one of Wales’ most important buildings constructed in the Modern Movement style and as an exceptional inter-war example of this style, has been listed Grade II.
