About Headers - Volleys
The Headers and Volleys Facebook page was put together as a simple website for coaches, managers and individuals who enjoy the game of football.
Being a player, coach and manager for well over 30 years I found that at the grass roots level of the game, money for the essentials was difficult for many clubs including my own club.
Going around knocking on doors just to purchase some footballs was part of the pre season ritual. Then there was the shopping around, trying to find the best with what funding you had was again part of the pre season build up to that vital pre season training schedule.
The value for money routine wasn't always the best policy, . Over many years I have bought some of the worst footballs imaginable, lasting 2 maybe 3 training sessions. Paying that bit extra does obviously help but only if the funds are available.
This is the dilemma every club goes through. Brand of ball, the quality, and most importantly: How Much?
Recently in the last few years I came across the Diamond football brand and have found them to be excellent value for money but with the quality of more expensive footballs. We have used Diamond over the last couple of years and have been delighted with them. After some research about the company, I found that the Diamond ball brand is used across the country, with many clubs of various stature using them for training and match day games.
From the grass roots clubs to the amateur and pro club academies to the Pro clubs like Bournemouth Football Club are on the list of users of the Diamond brand.
So hence the website, we are introducing some of the essentials required for training and matches. From training bibs, cones, tactic boards and obviously the various choices of training and match day footballs are included on the website.
