10 days of storm and rain, but had a lovely time. Good facilities. Will be back.

Great facilities and location. Very popular with surfers as it's so close to the sea. On site Cafe is great too.

This is a very poplar campsite which is well maintained. It is doesn't have the (family run friendly feel) due to the guy who looks after the campsite which plays a bit of a bouncer role. There is a quieter family field. As the camping season draws to a close the field with electric hook up is closed. Obviously it is next to Llangennith world class beach which accounts for the campsites popularity. The shop is open during the summer and the cafe is open most of the year round. Decent food, suitably priced but feels slightly canteeny but with excellent views.

We found great satisfaction when we visited Hillend campsite.
We meditated during the day, and surfed during the night. We washed our bits in the shower, and evacuated our bowels in the toilets.
Eddies bar was not opened when we were there. So we lit our barbeque and gave each other hot sausage.
One day for a change, we gave each other roasted nuts.
We will definitely return, unless we find permanent employment.

AMAZING PLACE!! Great facilities for all campers and great helpful staff. Plenty of things to do as a family and for all ages ... walk to Worms head, Climb the mountain, kids play park, fantastic cafe Eddys which does the best veggie sausages (and I'm not even a veggie leeke and cheese), highly recommend them.

Great easy going place. No booking but loads of space as long as not bank holiday or Friday night. Great beach location for families and surfers.

Had a great time with family and friends at this lovely campsite, great play area for the kids and plenty of room for kicking a ball around! We were lucky enough to see the meteor shower (very dark skies too - ideal for star gazing). The cafe does a knock-out cooked breakfast, just what was needed after one too many the night before! Good shop and close to the lovely beach, make sure you do the walk over the hill to Rhosilli, great views and a bit of WW2 history on route. Just make sure you realise that this is definitely a family oriented camp site, they WILL tell you to "take it to the beach" if you're making any noise after 10pm (we had our wrists slapped!). Highly recommended.

Great campsite just a stones throw from the beach. Decent facilities with a well stocked shop and great cafe. Nice friendly staff but be prepared to turn your music off early. Can't wait to come back again.

User

User

Hit and miss with this place, location is great but the staff are the downside. Gets real crowded.

User

Lovely views! Overall not too bad, very close to the beach and grass fields. Excellent location

Read some quite negative comments about the site so had a couple of alternatives in hand if we found it bad.
However, it was great from the moment we arrived. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The site was clean and tidy and the washing facilities were clean especially first thing in the morning. The weather was fab and we had a really great time. Saw one person told off for playing loud house music at 09:30pm and was asked to turn it down or off but this was done with respect for the fellow campers with young children. Recommend you read the rules so your not disappointed and be respectful of the people running the place and they will treat you with the same respect.
