Beautiful gardens, a great little gift shop, and tearooms. A must to visit

Great place to take the kids. Lively gardens to walk around with several magical Wendy houses and interesting paths for kids to explore.

We had a brilliant afternoon. It was our first visit as a family (one 3yr old, 2 parents and one nanna). The staff were very nice, the tea shop food was delightful and the grounds were amazing... We spent a few hours exploring around the lake and woods making discoveries of hidden woodland houses. The gift shop, gallery and pottery we're well stocked with beautiful items made locally... A real treat!!

A nice place to visit of an afternoon with pretty gardens, good quality craft shops and a lovely tea room. I would recommend anyone stuck with what to do of a morning or afternoon in the area to pop down. There's something for all ages.

Very nice place to visit on a sunny afternoon. Good little cafe serving sandwiches, cake and teas, with a nice ice cream bar as well. Great place to take children, as they can run about in the beautiful gardens exploring and tire themselves out. A small selection of garden plants for sale - used to be more of a garden centre, but seems to concentrate more now on its value as an attraction. Worth a visit.

Some good walks around the ground, with plenty of wooden buildings for children to have a play in.

The tea room was well serviced and very friendly with reasonable prices.

Plenty of crafts out on display, and the team behind the cermic work were friendly and more than happy to chat about their work.
