HISTORIC was conceived around the ideology of making beautiful, historical jewellery inspired by different eras of history.

As Wales and especially Cardiff is so dear to our hearts, HISTORIC’s first collection of fine jewellery is inspired by the remarkable work of William Burges, the mind behind many of the fabulous buildings in Cardiff.

William Burges (1827-1881) was one of the most imaginative architects’ of the Victorian Era.
Fun-loving and enthusiastic about all things medieval, he built castles, churches and houses but we think Burges was at his best when designing intricate metalwork.

Burges is the architect responsible for transforming Cardiff Castle into the medieval fantasy palace you see today.

The HISTORIC collection is the result of a collaboration between Cardiff Castle and Neil Rayment, an award winning Goldsmiths, based in a beautiful Victorian Gothic studio in Cardiff Bay.

The result, a beautifully considered collection of fine Sterling Silver jewellery inspired by the remarkable work of William Burges.
