This is a brilliant cafe. Friendly, clean and the food is brilliant. I am saddened to read some of the spiteful comments written on here by some ypung people who are no doubt the friends of a young girl who was dismissed from her job at this cafe.

The best cafe I have been to as a very fussy eater about everything being clean/tidy...always go there when in Barry as such a cosy atmosphere and very helpful/friendly owner./staff...who go the extra mile. I don't know many cafes who run sewing and other groups...very community spirited ....congrats and keep up the good work 'the old post office' xx

My hubby and myself had breakfast here today, the service was excellent, food yummy and great value for money. This will be our new fav café for breakfast.

My daughter recently had her 7th birthday party here. I would highly recommend it. Lisa was great and organised plenty of activities to keep them entertained such as Disco, face painting, tattoos and treasure box decorating. Great value for parents too because everything from the food, activities and party bags was included. X

Most definitely the friendliest cafe i've been too and the most child friendly and the food is fabulously fresh and great value for money!!!

I've been to the cafe many times and had great service. The staff are lovely and the food is great.

I have worked at this cafe since it opened and it is one of the nicest places to be a part of. It's like one huge family with the customers included and has a very positive atmosphere. I have always made sure I prepare things to the highest standard in every aspect and always go that one step further to help customers or fellow staff members out. Everyone that is a true part of this community knows what an amazing place it is where anyone is welcome and it hurts to see that people who have never even set foot in the cafe are leaving bad reviews to try and give the place a bad name.

I have spent many times eating and having a chat over a cuppa and food in lisa's café, and I think its brilliant. its got a nice family feeling there and its just like being at home, but with no cooking and washing up to do afterwards.

The food is always done the way I ask for it to be done and I like food to be done in my own little way. If you want a nice time, chill out with a friend and a bit of a giggle, then go visit, if you want to just relax, have a cuppa then that's fine as well. nice work lisa, and carry on the great work.

Excellent lamb and mint baguette from the new baguette bar today. Meat was really fresh and melt in your mouth!! Will definitely be going back!!!

The proprietor Lisa Petherick is a wonderful lady who has done so much for our community and I really don't know how we all managed before Lisa opened The Old Post Office in Holton rd Barry ..... we are so lucky to have you Lisa you've brought life back to our end of Holton rd Barry .......
