this hotel truly is amazing and without a shadow of a doubt if you are getting married this is the only venue you need to look at!! me and my partner tied the knot here and it was one of the best days of my life. the staff are perfect will go the extra mile to ensure you have the best day. great value for money. thank you once again to the holt lodge on behalf of myself my wife and all our guests you are amazing.

We went for cream tea. It was amazing the service exceptional, the food amazing and stunning but we ordered a bottle of prosecco, wine and a coke... The meal was paid for but the drinks bill was £38. Something!! Was not Impressed with the drinks bill.. but if they are doing Groupon they are obviously making up on the drinks... I would advise you drop the drinks price and tips might be more Giving.



I would also like to state that the serving staff where 15 out of 5, they were totally amazing but Holt lodge, review your drink prices, you would not pay that much in London.

We have just left Holt Lodge as a one night stop over on the way to South West Wales. Perfect location. Great hotel. Friendly staff who were very accommodating, which is great for us with two young kids. Everyone was really welcoming. The room was spacious with a large double bed and a single for our 3 year old and plenty of room for our travel cot. We asked for a room fan & an extra bed sheet and it was not a problem.

The Sunday carvery was very tasty but my favourite bit was the parsnip soup. Lovely!

Choices for kids too, which was great as our 3 year old really wanted fish & chips. Our 9 month old devoured a load of home cut chips. The breakfast had a great choice of goodies and the cooked breakfast was tasty. We have all left very full and very happy. Thank you Holt Lodge for a great overnight stay

We had our wedding here on Sunday. We can not thank all the staff enough for what they did for us. Everyone commented on how amazing the food was and how hard all of the staff worked. A special thank you to Cara, Andre and Alex. All 3 of you worked so hard to make sure our day was faultless, especially Alex you put us at ease. We wouldn’t change a thing, so glad we chose this as our venue. It really was the perfect day. Mr and Mrs Williams 😃

We had our wedding day here 11/08/17 it was such a beautiful day we enjoyed every minute of it, the staff were helpful and amazing, the food was absolutely outstanding, all the guests loved the food too. The dj Paul for the disco in the evening was great, the holt lodge as a venue was beautiful it's recently been decorated throughout so all looks lovely inside and the grounds for the photos were stunning, we are really pleased we had a fantastic day and so did our guests.

From months ago of planning till now the whole weekend of wedding festivities a week ago we have had nothing but brilliant service! This is my 3rd visit to the Holt Lodge for afternoon tea and they have never let me down. The food is lovely and freshly prepared. The Prosecco was chilled to perfection and an unlimited flow of tea. The staff are very attentive and friendly. I love afternoon tea and have sampled many venues out and about but will definitely say this is one of the best. If you are lucky enough to have a groupon voucher the value for money is superb. I am now looking forward to my next visit. Would I recommend The Holt Lodge.....ABSOLUTELY 😍

The hotel itself is set in the lovely Welsh Countryside, the staff are fantastic and tend to your every need. The food oh the food, stunning!! What else is there to say. 5 stars.

Sarah Tunstall and staff where so helpful nothing was too much trouble in organising my Mums 90 th party! The food was great and even my grandsons allergies where catered for! A memorable occasion made extra special by Sarah and her fantastic team! Definitely recommend this venue!

Myself and my new husband had our wedding here last night and we couldn't fault a single thing. The service off everyone was fantastic from when we booked right up until we left this morning. All of our guests have commented how amazing the food was and they decorated the room beautifully. Alex Jennings and Jenny and Sarah are great at what they do. We are extremely happy that we booked with The Holt Lodge and if we had to do it again we wouldn't change a thing. Truly amazing.

I had a fantastic lunch yesterday.We chose to have the Sunday Carvery.We could chose our own meat cut to our own satisfaction by the chef waiting on.We then helped ourselves to veg gravy roast /new potatoes and not forgetting homemade yorkshire puddings mmmm.

The staff was fantastic and couldnt do enough for us all.My grandaughters meals were huge but they really enjoyed them.

There was six of us most only had 2 courses and a couple had 3 courses so the price reflected that.We didnt mind that as it was really enjoyable.

Very clean and good service with a slightly pricey but lovely breakfast. Down sides are very warm if the sun is on your window and shower head is fixed and very close to the wall which makes it a bit awkward to shower . Would stay here again

My daughter and I came for the 2 course lunch menu. Very disappointed. I paid £1.50 extra for what was advertised as tiger prawns. When they arrived they were 5 normal king prawns u would buy from any supermarket. We both went for sausage and mash which again was advertised as pork and leek but when they came they certainly weren't pork and leek, they were cheap sausages left from breakfast. Very very poor

Had a lovely over night stay sampled the restaurant late afternoon 2 courses for 10.00 lovely . Ordered taxi for us to go onto Wrexham to see Rebecca Ferguson . Easy check out would definitely recommend 👍

We had an afternoon tea at the hotel today. The service was fab, staff were welcoming, the room was also lovely. The afternoon tea arrived and looked great. Our main issue was the lack of extra sandwiches!!! We had booked for a 1.30pm sitting, having had breakfast at 8.30am and saved ourselves to indulge. 4 quarters of sandwich later, we were hoping to be offered a few more - we were told we could have more but would have to pay extra!! I can't complain about the cakes - they were so good (though cut in disproportionate sizes) and the scones were fab!!! More sarnies would have saved the conversation at the table of what to have for tea!!! �

Was in a group of four on a Friday evening. Very comfortable area to sit and relax and drink before meal. The meal itself was fine for me, steak cooked perfectly and for my sister. But despite ordering the same as her my brother in law’s steak was not cooked the same as was a bit overdone and he didn’t finish it. My mum said the haddock was ok. Disappointing thing were the chips. Not quite cooked enough. The bar manager on shift was very attentive, polite and could not have been more helpful.
