About Home Instead Senior Care For Conwy And Denbighshire

A well established and highly respected independent UK home care provider.

Home Instead Senior Care For Conwy And Denbighshire Description

Home Instead Senior Care specialise in the non-medical care of older age adults in their own home, providing a welcoming alternative to life in a care home.

Our mission is to become North Wales' most admired care company by respecting our clients dignity and helping them to maintain their independence for as long as possible.

The service is built around the individual needs of each of the clients and is delivered by a handpicked team of well trained and thoroughly referenced CAREGivers – chosen for their caring nature and professionalism.

The care is companionship-based and clients and CAREGivers are matched on personality and interest so that a relationship develops and the service does not feel like the traditional perception of ‘care’.

The service is highly personalised around the needs and wishes of each individual client and covers various activities ranging from a simple chat over a cup of tea through to round the clock support involving personal care and dementia care.

Staff do not wear uniforms as they can be seen as an unnecessary indicator of vulnerability and the care visit duration is a minimum of one hour- often longer, allowing ample time for care and support without feeling rushed.

Each office is locally owned and operated to ensure the service is accessible and relevant to each area of operation. Today, Home Instead has over 160 UK offices and is recognised as the world’s largest and most trusted care company with over 1, 000 locally owned and operated businesses worldwide.

At Home Instead Senior Care we are constantly looking at ways to help our clients feel connected to the world around them. Our CAREGivers are able to help put a smile on the faces of people who may otherwise feel isolated and lonely.
If you are, or if you know someone who feels lonely or isolated there are many ways to help. You can contact us to see if one of our dedicated CAREGivers can be of service. Or you could attend some of the groups we support in the local community ...such as The Memory Cafe and the Friendship groups held at Itaca Cafe in Abergele. Call us on 01745 772150 for more information or keep an eye on our Facebook page for upcoming events.
You can also contact the Red Cross either for yourself or on behalf of someone you know to refer them to their Connecting Communities program. This program aims to bring people together in a safe space to discuss their feelings and form healthy and strong support networks. Please call 01745 828330 or email: connectconwy@redcross.org.uk for more information.

We've had an amazing week with our Be A Santa To A Senior initiative. On Sunday we surprised a local Contact The Elderly group, who meet every Christmas in Llandudno Junction. Kevin and Chad from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service / Gwasanaeth Tân ac Achub Gogledd Cymrualong with the help of our very own little helpers, 4 year old Bea and Eva, and 2 year old Henry, who all helped serve the meals, clear away and then handed out the gifts to everyone. A special thanks goes t...o Abergele Golf Club Trading Ltd and Tesco Abergele who have amazingly supported this initiative yet again. This is the third year members of Abergele Golf Club Trading Ltd have generously donated, and its the second year Tesco Abergele customers have given kindly to support elderly people in the community. We are still accepting donations in our office. Deliveries start next week. We will be out in force next week, taking your donations to the door of a person living alone for Christmas and hopefully bring a smile to their face xxx

Wow, what a weekend!
Our team had a great time at National Conference, meeting all the other hard workers that make up the Home Instead network.
We also managed to come home with 4 awards!... This wouldn't have been possible without our fantastic CAREGivers that work so hard to ensure our clients are well supported to live independently. You truly make a difference.
On that note, we would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all our CAREGivers who have worked brilliantly throughout the year, leading to the great success we've achieved in 2018!
Let's keep up the great work and aim for even more in 2019!

We're excited to announce we have another official drop off point for 'Be A Santa To A Senior' donations, Abergele Golf Club Trading Ltd! The lovely team and members at Abergele Golf Club have donated to this cause every year and for that we are truly grateful.
With all our drop off points in full swing, we hope you manage to pop by or come and meet our team in the Bay View Shopping Centre next week. Donations can be as big or a small as you like, we're even on the hunt for ...gift wrapping materials too.
Those who have been left with no one should still get the chance to enjoy this time of year. With 'Be A Santa To A Senior', not only do older people benefit from a generous gift but they also receive a visit and a bit of company that they may not have otherwise had. Please help us put a smile on someone's face by spreading the Christmas cheer :)

I have worked for agencies before and you either don't get appreciated or struggle to receive any training. With Home Instead we receive complete training before we start, I have been signed up for further courses to improve and increase my knowledge and I have become a leader and built up a fantastic team. I have always enjoyed my work in care but to have the extra time with our clients and the appreciation of the management it really gives my job satisfaction.
