We'd made an (ever increasing) booking for 5 families for food and drinks 27th Dec. As always the food was fantastic, the beer ice cold and the service amazing. Special shout to to Gary (just for being Gary & looking after us), but the star of the show was Cora, who managed not only to cope with 23 of us, but maintained a smile and a sense of humour throughout!

We enjoyed it so much we're back again tmrw!!

Service was outstanding. Food was really tasty. I had the Prawn tacos which where really fresh and delicious. Perfect portion sizes on all dished. Will definitely be back.

Just had the best 3 courses of food in a long time from the new menu. Simply outstanding, raised the bar big time.

It's nice when at end of night customers come up and tell you they had a great night and that the pup must be the best in bangor at this time with a great atmosphere

I was in the hop house on Saturday the 21st. And had the southern Fried chicken burger absolutely delicious. Went back on Sunday for a birthday dinner and had the escalope chicken on a bed of champ with tobacco onions. Again credit to the chef was beaut. Staff are very friendly too. Highly recommended!!

I adore this spot, it certainly is my fave spot in Bangor. Food is outstanding, staffing great and very knowledgeable about their gins and the atmosphere is tremendous definitely worth a visit.

Had a fantastic meal from the new menu, couldn't fault a thing great service in the Bistro and even better food can't wait to go back again 110%

Great relaxing bar one of my favourite bars in Bangor to go to I love the beer garden it's brilliant to relax in the sun thats when we get the sun �. Staff are friendly especially Rachel everytime I've been down she's been very friendly and helpful. Great music and entertainment on at night time also.

Great place for events went to Erin L Cookes Gig last night after meeting her on the boat a few weeks ago and I really enjoyed it Gary is good crack to. Looking forward to being back soon enough I hope when she's back again

Great , friendly bar and outside space for us dirty smokers, staff are very pleasant and a good selection of drinks.

Food and staff great love the Sunday roast. But will not be back due to the dog friendly policy. I don’t think it is hygienic to have lots of dogs in a place were food is served. Now the dogs were well behaved and owners great. I just don’t agree and don’t want to eat with dogs around me. I could go on but won’t. Btw I am a dog owner!

Have been to the hop house loads of times before and normally really enjoy it. Yesterday was different. We ordered chicken burgers as we had seen them being served before and lucked lush but we got ours and it was very disappointing.

Burgers barely dressed with a couple of bits of lettuce and mayo with pieces of fatty streaky bacon. No side salad.

Bar man outside was very pleasant but did serve my mum a dirty glass which was absolutely filthy.

Girl who served our food looked like she didn't want to be there never mind serve us.

We ended up leaving to go to another near by beer garden as there was no music playing in the beer garden and there wasn't really a good atmosphere.

I understand bangor was really busy yesterday but it doesn't mean the service you provide should be any different.

Booked this place for a family meal as a birthday celebration and sad to say all our family were disappointed in the small choice on the menu. On a Sunday you would expect a Sunday roast also but was told they don't do it anymore. Ended up going elsewhere and was gutted after reading all the great reviews then turning up for it to be a let down. The picture of the menu is in fact your entire choice. With lots of other competition in Bangor I was expecting more. Wouldn't recommend for vegetarians either.
