Very welcome stop on a rainy day cycling, so grateful to the staff for serving hot meals after 14:00. Quick service; food excellent and filling. My only quibble is that I don't like eating under a huge distracting TV screen, but others may regard this a a plus.

We as a large family have been visiting knighton for the last 11 years and always eat at the Horse and Jockey. The food is always very good and with a very pleasant and laid back atmosphere. We stay at the Blach Hall lodges and are back for Christmas so another visit is planned. Sarah and Mick 2017

Stayed during Offas Dyke walk as a more expensive B&B option. Nice double room with ensuite bath. Good food options available. Good breakfast.

Service very good. Food very poor. Asked for rare steak received a raw steak burnt to charcoal on outside. Not the first time I've been disappointed with the food

Had a meal in the restaurant with parents and in-laws. Very much liked the decor and atmosphere. The lunch and drinks menu offered a good selection. Craig - who served us - was very friendly and professional. His recommended beer went down a treat. I was pleased to see a nice vegetarian section on the menu and the fajitas were awesome - the onions and peppers came out on a sizzling skillet, with warmed tortillas and dips on the side so I could assemble them myself exactly as I liked. We all enjoyed the food and, unfortunately, didn't have room for dessert. Just coffee and drinks which we could enjoy outside in the sun. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return.

Very accommodating for 10 people. Sunday dinner excellent.

Great pub grub... Highly recommended the sizzling steak or chicken and bacon enchilada. Bit cold and once again a restaurant doesn't get the fact that customers that go out for a meal want to relax and it's all about the chairs...make em comfy and give them arms.. Then people will want to go there to relax. Fail here, cold wooden armless chairs..maybe it's just me but being comfortable when you eat out is key.

Recommended to eat here by locals. Great choice of food, and let me say they don't skimp on the portions so make sure you're very hungry, or chose wisely if going for 3 courses. The potato skins were delicious, as was the Enchilada but its size defeated me. Maybe the skins before weren't a good idea, but then again....they were great. Large dedicated restaurant area to the back of the pub, and the service was fast and friendly. Loved it. Shame I didn't know about this place the night before.
