Hotel is very cosy with great views and a good restaurant with interesting food, better eating at the hotel than the castle!

Lovely hotel. Great view out over the estuary. The Resturant in the main hotel is excellent and I would highly recommend it. Breakfast was great to. Each room has its own individual parking space

Crumbs! Should it really take so long to serve biscuits with the tea we had an hour and twenty mins ago? Have read the Guardian newspaper including the pull-out sections and not a sign. It was quiet when we arrived so no real pressure or so it would seem. On first complaint, we were told they were in the oven? On the second, one of the staff would look into the matter. What a mystery. So, how long does it take to make biscuits? Glad we didn't ask for afternoon tea. That would have taken the biscuit. We're heading elsewhere.

The suites are great here, especially after hours when the other non staying tourist dissipate.

Rooms were good, well equipped with friendly staff. Its not cheap by any means, bout i would say worth the experience.

For me its not 5* as the cost was high, some minor issues with a dinner reservation delayed and news paper not arriving; both which should be top agenda at this tier - okay they are minor points, in no way detract from the fact that the rooms were clean having all you could want and that we had great time.

The staff were brilliant from the get go. We had a booking issue online with a 3rd party, explained our situation when we got there and staff helped us out and managed to rectify the issue which could have turned out to be much disappointment and a 2 and a half hour long journey back home again. The room itself was fitting with the decor and very spacious. There was also a huge bathroom and complimentary sherry. We dined in the restaurant downstairs which we didn't realise was a high class silver spoon restaurant; we arrived in jeans and jumpers but were still welcomed warmly. The food was incredible. Everything about this hotel was warm and welcoming and you felt like every need was catered. I would highly recommend Portmeirion Hotel to anybody.

Stayed out side of the main hotel and above on of the shops in the village. I ordered room service and it was brought to us in a little shuttle from the the main hotel! The room was in good character and we really enjoyed the stay. Recommended. Only short of 5 stars as we had some problems with the desk on check out. Resolved but could of done without the hassle.

Attending a wedding. Nice surroundings and restaurant.my gluten/wheat free meal was very nice. Staff were v attentive. Wheelchair access odd though. To get to restaurant have to go outside and back in as steps down to restaurant. Toilets at top of steps. Nice views.
