I Can Youth Forum

The ‘I Can’ Youth Project is based in the African Community Centre in Swansea and provides a service aimed at disadvantaged young people.

'I Can' Projects include the Youth Forum where young people can enjoy meeting new people and where they can involve themselves in recreational activities outside of the home, educational and working environments. We provide a space for young people to socialize, express their opinions on various aspects of their lives and share stories. The Youth Forum provides a platform for young people living in Swansea to enjoy their free time with others while being supported by a team of staff and volunteers who can provide one-one support, access to job opportunities and higher education, training, mentoring and leadership programs. The project is designed for and around the needs of young people from all backgrounds and cultural differences. The project provides the young people with a safe and warm environment where they can relax, share stories and talk to young people and staff who can relate to the struggles they might face on a daily basis.
