I Heart. Wales Photography Description

I've always loved taking pictures, whether it be in my head, as a child, or when I got my first camera as an adult. I always desired to take stunning photographs, capturing real emotions as much as interactions. When I moved to Wales in 2015, I fell in love with it, and all my inspiration now comes from real locations, people, and places that I have been so lucky to see since I have lived here. I’m thrilled to share every photo and every journey I embark on with you. Want to know more? Contact me.

I travelled a lot as a child, all over the world in fact and saw many wonderful places and scenes. However, being so young really didn't appreciate the act of capturing those sights, although i do have an awful lot of memories and I can picture sights, triggered by other sights now, sounds or smells and it can take me right back there. I used to take the odd snap using a disposable camera and my Parents must have many an album full of our holidays both home and abroad.

Going into adult age, I didn't travel abroad quite so much. And didn't fancy the idea of UK holidaying as I love the sea and the sand too much. So when I could have an opportunity to travel I did try to ensure a warmer climate was visited!

My Parents 10 years earlier had moved to Conwy, and apart from the occasional visit to their home, which was a little inland, I never really saw the obsession with North Wales, and often used to question why they had moved here. Practically in the middle of no-where, obviously inhabital in winter months and was often worried incase they needed anyone as clearly there was nothing in the area. . . I'd only really ever visited Rhyl in my late teens. . . nothing to say on that - but sure we have all been there?!

So North Wales, wasn't on my most preferred places to visit. That was until I was in my late 30's and my husband, whom I met in 2004 and married in 2007, took me to Anglesey for a mini-break in the June of 2013. I'm concluding this was a Birthday weekend for me! We were running a very busy business at the time so any break away at that point was welcome. He had rented a lovely chalet for a long weekend. I don't think we actually did much during this weekend, looking back on the pictures! There were lots of pictures of the chalet, a few from a clear walk into Beaumaris and the pier, and pictures of cows and food. . . animals and food being another photography subject favourite of mine!

However, that mini-break sparked the list of many. To the point we moved here back in April 2015. We moved to a lovely village, Eglwysbach, just outside Colwyn Bay and 10 mins drive to our nearest beach and literally less than 5 minutes to my Parents.

We haven't looked back since. I absolutely love it here. We have the best of everything here in North Wales. Coast, Mountains and Islands. I will never get bored of living here and have no intentions of leaving anytime soon!

There is so much to see and do here and I've taken up Kayaking, Cycling and long walks, which prior to our move was unheard of! And some of the scenary I have witnessed and has left me breathless. I can ensure the backdrop to any shoot will compliment the theme!

I just hope you enjoy my journey (and love) Wales, just as much as I do
