We booked as a large family of 3 generations. We were given a lovely table and the staff, although busy, could not do enough for us to ensure that we had a great time.
We went pre Cardiff Half marathon - we needed the carbs. We were not disappointed the pizza was delicious! My husband (not running) had the steak. He said it was the nicest steak he'd had for a long time. I was happy to see hand cut chips too.
The desserts are made on the premises. They too were delicious.
Thank you Il Vesuvio. We will be back.

Thank you for catering for me and my friends and 3 children last night, food was lovely and service was great! Apologies for the noise from the children, they had a lovely date night with their mums.

Once again, we enjoyed a fantastic take out from here on Friday night. When you have no energy left to get dressed up to go out and the sofa is calling you, a pizza from these guys is always a winner! Thanks all x

Il Vesuvio is one of my favourite restaurants. The food is phenomenal and the service is always absolutely brilliant, I would recommend to anyone!
Had take away tonight xx amazing as ever and the only down side I had to do my own dishes xx the baileys cheesecake was delicious ๏ฟฝ can't wait till next time xx

Came here as a last minute booking due to walking out of previous restaurant and they were able to accomodate us straight away which was so kind of them. Straight away staff were so friendly and professional and made us feel very very welcome, like we were locals. Service was fast but not rushed, drinks offered straight away and nothing was too much of a problem. I spilt my drink and they were quick to come and help clear up and re-make our table and have a laugh with us.
The food - oh my days this was amazing. We didnโt have to wait for long and they catered for our own personal preference as I asked for different pasta and extra creamy (with the Carbonara). I canโt recommend this dish enough, I have to say I have this dish in a lot of restaurants and this is by far the best Iโve had. All freshly made and served piping hot.
Thank you so much for making our night brilliant, we left there in great spirits and I cannot wait to return.
Brought my sons (3 and 4 years old) here for lunch today for the first time. My husband and i have been here many times. See u again soon x

Absolutely brilliant, my other half orders something that wasn't on the menu for starters and they were very accompanying it was amazing, then for mains we had pasta which was the best I've ever had , the kind woman explained what everything was as I hadn't been to many Italians, amazing food for great prices, excellent service, and lovely atmosphere, will definitely be returning, thank you very much
A group of 7 of us had dinner here and it was really lovely. The manager and staff were very friendly and took the time to chat a few moments and make certain we enjoyed the food. I had the sea bass and it was absolutely amazing, I will definitely have this dish again. My husband and I shared a tiramisu which they customized by adding two heart shaped biscuits. Presentation was beautiful and atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I enjoyed my time here and highly recommend this establishment.
1st visit tonight and can't fault the service or food! My husband says his carbonara was one of the best he has had! We will be back! :-)
Had a lovely welcome from the staff,
I had the sausage, mushroom And spinach starter which was ok
The lamb as a main and it was fantastic beautify cooked and the sauce was perfect.
The price was reasonable too
