About Immanuel Voigt

Born in Hamburg, Germany, Immanuel won a scholarship in 2013 for postgraduate studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, studying piano with Richard McMahon and Mary Dullea. Immanuel has worked in masterclasses with Martin Roscoe, Mikhail Kazakevich, Leslie Howard, Tamara Stefanovich, Louis Schwizgebel, Benjamin Frith and Peter Hill. An experienced solo pianist, he also plays in orchestral and chamber-music settings and works with singers and instrumentalists. He was awarded a scholarship to take solo piano, chamber music and piano duet masterclasses at the Dartington International Summer School in 2012 and 2013. Recent prizes include the 1st Prize at the Ogston Music Prize in 2012, the 1st Prize at the Beethoven Sonata Competition and the Open Age Repertoire Class as part of the Scotland Music Festival 2013. Alongside his classical music studies he works for the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama playing light music for functions and events.
