Indian Lounge Resturant & Takeaway

The restaurant was recommended by the locals and it did not disappoint. Really lovely food and family friendly.

Just walked in to see the menu and possibly dine in. Was met with staff leaving the restaurant and saying goodbye to the waiter. He barely acknowledged them and seemed puzzled when we asked for the menu. Decided to dine in, the waiter took the mik out of us and ask why we needed the menu in a very condescending manner. We felt really insulted. Can't comment on the food, restaurant looked nice, waiter was terrible.
Do yourself a favor and head to the castle hotel round the corner. Does a curry, food is delicious and the service amazing.

Not impressed. We were recommended the restaurant on the local campsite where we were staying as we had not been to the area before. Firstly, we sat in to have food, as it got busier with takeaways and other people coming in, it took over half an hour to receive starters. The portions were shockingly small for the prices. The lamb was raw in two of the starters and we found a black hair in an onion bahji (we all have blonde hair) so that put us off the main alongside waiting a long time. We asked how long the wait was going to be as we had to go to see to our pets but the waiter said that it wouldn't be long. The mains were bland and tasteless, the meat was again raw. The price was expensive for what we had. As a family we have had better takeaways for a cheaper price.

Great food and excellent service. One of the best Indian restaurants I have frequented and I have been to hundreds all round the world.

Went on all you can eat buffet night, good choice of quality meals at a reasonable price.

Terrible! Worst indian I have ever had! And that is saying something coming from someone who loves indian food! I have never written a review before but I felt I had to for this... Firstly waiter couldn't understand me, then had drinks which were incredibly flat and like water which they were obviously from the bottle which had been let out in the warm.... then popodums for starter were very bland and the dips were very watery and tasteless and no coconut in the chutney tray also!
Going onto main hoping they would redeem themselves, but unfortunately not! Both currys which are meant to be thick and creamy were very watery and again very bland... if this weren't enough, my partner then saw a hair in my food just before I was going to put it in my mouth, which then put me off my food.
Was not going to mention anything but when asked if everything was OK with the food my partner then said that I had found a hair in my food to which the waiters reply was "there are no woman working here" which was as if he was trying to accuse of of putting hair in our own food.. even know there was a woman waiter serving us. The chef then followed shortly afterwards apologising and asked if I would like another curry, obviously not enjoying the food much I declined and said not to worry which he said he would take the curry off the bill knowing that it was his hair in the food.
When then coming to paying for the bill the food wasn't even offered for free or even NO discount or apology off the waiter, nothing at all!
Will not be returning and would advise anybody thinking of going here to stay away and choose a better alternative!
For a small community area like llandovery restaurants should be trying they're hardest and putting every effort they can in their food not putting people off!

Nicely presented restaurant, but the food was pretty bland, very runny and really nothing to reflect the good reviews. Asked for the WiFi login and the waiter took my phone off somewhere to do what I don't know. Wouldn't rush back I'm afraid
