Welcome, and thank you for visiting Inky Whippet.

I like to draw. I always have, and am yet to grow out of the joy of having a new pack of felt pens. I draw mostly with a fine black ink pen, usually with lots of small squiggly lines. There is something exciting about the immediacy of pen, the inability to rub anything out. You take a leap and have to go for it.
More recently I've also returned to paint, embracing colour; splashy watercolours, and a venture into exquisite oils.

The adorable Smokey, the whippet-Italian greyhound cross, in the profile picture, is the inspiration behind 'Inky Whippet'.
Smokey, the gentlest dogs' you'll ever meet, at 2 has never growled, and continues to be an absolute joy to capture.

All breeds are now undertaken, and cats too are becoming a feature of the Inky Whippet page.

I studied at Swansea Metropolitan University and graduated in 2006 with a first class honours degree in Fine Art (mixed media).
