This is without a doubt the worst insurance company I have had the displeasure of dealing with in 20+ years driving.

1. Impossible to get hold of. Tried multiple times to call in and gave up after half an hour on hold
2. Failure to disclose materially important facts. For example, apparently in the event of a third party claim, you are expected to pay the excess for their repairs! This is not legally enforceable, but they try to make you believe it is.
3. Failure to accept no claims bonus, stating the previous NCB earned under previous policy was issued too long before taking out the policy with IYM. This "too long" was actually less than 3 months.
Confirmed their statement is legally wrong, complaint to ombudsmen already sent off.
4. Renewal increased by over 25%, with no explanation or reason

AVOID THIS UTTER FISTULA OF A COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE

CROOKS!

Having requested cancellation within the legal 10 day cooling of period, I found to my disgust an extortionate phone bill. As it turns out they they don't only charge you a £50 administration fee for cancelling they also gain revenue through premium numbers which is unspecified. Not only is this unjust practice, I was left on hold so many times for excessive duration's with an excuse of lack of staffing to complete, a now clear avaricious business strategy. This was an expensive enquiry to make with no product or service to show for it.

I can based on many reviews see that people have had similar experiences. I will endeavour to make an example of this company and to stop this the misleading and fraudulent practice. I erg anyone based on their experience to register there concerns with the likes of; the Financial Conduct Authority, Trading Standards, Ofcom.

I pay monthly, after i cancel my incurance they told me i need to pay anyway 100% of money, i cancel it after 8 month and i still need to pay for it full summ

Do not use this fraudulent company. They will charge you if you cancel the policy which they do not tell you about until you cancel. Cowboys.

Don't even try choose this insurance company. It's rubbish company. on my case i got some problem with my licence and they put me extra money to pay plus fine and cancellation fee. that was double price of my car.

Absolutly awful experience with this company gave them all the info they needed person on the phone said everything is fine. Cancelled my policy WITHOUT TELLING ME! WHAT A JOKE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

First Class robber. They will rob you soon as you want to cancel your insurance.

You will end up seeing physiatrist soon as you see the cancellation charges. What a joke this Insure Your Motor are !!!

Plz do take action and make sure u don't get charged extra and we are stuck with them because in order to cancel with them they charge you like triple the amount making us unable to cancel with them .

Stay well away. Charged me 50 pound plus 15% because i changed my address. Fair enough if the insurance goes up but for them to charge 50 pound then 15% comission on top of my insurance going up is a discrace. Also just changed vehicle and they stated it would cost xx amount a month and found out it is 50 pound extra a month and they are saying there is nothing they can do about it. And if i changed i have to pay the whole premium up front. Load if bollox.

Absolutely disgraceful. Have not paid out on my key theft even though they agreed they would. Dont touch this company however much cheaper they might appear to be as you are not actually insured, they will not pay out is my experience.
