About Intaste Jewellery

Intaste Jewellery. Supplier of organic jewellery designs from the rainforests of South America.

Intaste Jewellery Description

Intaste Jewellery is dedicated to organic jewellery designs and crafts. All of our products are hand crafted by the indigenous people of Ecuador using only natural materials.

Our design stock is currently a wide selection of Palm Ivory from the Tagua tree of Ecuador, where it is known as the elephant plant. We also offer a selection of jade craft.

Intaste Jewellery supports this growing new industry. The harvest of the Tagua seed pod reclaims more and more rainforest from deforestation, It creates a much needed commodity to the region and potentially lessons the threat to the elephant.

Intaste Jewellery also supports the awareness of a finite planet, the present and future need for an ever increasing ethical market and the promotion of natural produce.

Received a mail from China today. Somebody trying to register my name for their own. You would think the company would google a name before paying for registration and getting it rejected.
Try putting any English word before jewellery and google it. It is sure to exist. I even googled deep fried jewellery once to test this and low and behold....

Day 5, It has come to an end. Back at the hotel and I'm cream crackered, I feel like I've been on tour. Back home tomorrow and thanks to this week there will be plenty to do.
There were many reasons for doing the fair, the most important of which was Intaste Jewellery now being officially recognised within the industry. It further endorsed what I have learnt many times in the past is that there is a tremendous difference between what you think you know and what you do know. W...e gained invaluable experience.
I would also like to thank the traders that were located near us who were not only very nice people but also gave us enthusiastic encouragement and much welcome advice. Thank you very much for that, we look forward to seeing you again.
One final pic of the show. Sorry, I'm sure I could have got a better shot.

If you happen to be looking for Intaste Jewellery at the Spring Fair. We are in hall 20 N06. This what to look for.

I've not been to the NEC arena in years and having explored many of the halls this week, I am amazed how big this complex is, I wish I could take a photo to show it's enormity. This is a photo of hall 20 where I am. I was thinking of doing a sponsored walk to hall 1 for charity if I have time.

Day 2. Yesterday proved to be a little eye opener, we took a couple of small orders and a few companies will place orders after the fair. Today was quiet until about 11.30am. I'm not surprised as we are about a quarter of a mile from the entrance. But we are getting a lot of interest again today.

First morning at the spring fair and Suzanne getting busy

Well that's that then, everything prepared (I hope). We will be off to Birmingham NEC first thing in the morning, Hard to imagine what the experience will be like next week, it's gonna be a new one for me.
My intention is to totally enjoy the experience of being the first to promote the Tagua industry at this exhibition and much looking forward to introducing our stock to retail buyers from all over the world.

Not long to go until the Spring Fair. Three days of madness now at an end and I am just about ready to go. Stall already designed and fitted. No pics yet, set builder only sent pics pasted to an email so I can't post them on here. Looks ok! shame I had to shave the costs.
So the man with the lens tells me this shot is a bit dark and he will brighten it up a bit. I'm sure he's right. Here's the old one, still waiting on the other.

Another photo session scheduled for tonight. Need some further high-res product shots for up-coming promotion in March. Also an ideal opportunity to take some package deal shots.

I've got a silver machine and it's all shiney with new bits inside.
Yes that's right, after five weeks without a computer which I must add was very very ill. So it had to have a complete brain transplant and all major organs. Big thanks to Ginge for making all things possible.
New for 2015. Interest jewellery will have various items appearing in reader mail orders in the coming weeks. I will keep you informed of which publications as they appear.
... As we are moving into wholesale, we will be showcasing the company and products at the Spring Fair NEC Birmingham 1st-5th Feb 2015. This of course is only a few weeks away and without a computer for the last month or so I have so much to do. Sure I will keep you updated as my psychosis develops
As we can see from the picture below there is more to Tagua craftsmanship than just jewellery designs.
Oh! and have a happy new year. www.intastejewellery.com
