The IUBC - Faculty of Humanitarian Field Interpreters & Translators (FHFIT) is part of the International University of the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent (University for Humanity). Members or volunteering staff of the Faculty of Humanitarian Field Interpreters & Translators hold fellowship of the FHFIT faculty association and are active members of the International Blue Cross & Blue Crescent movement. The FHFIT have branches of the faculty in every country where national Blue Cross Societies or Blue Crescent Societies operate. FHFIT members are key personnel essential during international crises situations, making seemingly impossible tasks, of helping those affected by the disaster, just a little bit easier. Our FHFIT Interpreters and translators play a number of roles in providing aid during a crisis, whether they’re right in the middle of a disaster or working remotely from another country, offering much-needed assistance, such as medical interpreting and enabling communication between rescue teams and other technically skilled professionals who come from different nations.
