User

Ate there twice in 4 nights - great food, well cooked & the final bill was not a shock. Kids eat free with the Bistro ...... Nice one. Staff very attentive - so if you visit Bangor NI, look it up!!

User

Amazing food, we had our wee boys both with ASD with us. Service was excellent and the food amazing the chowder is to die for. Kids meals were excellent real chicken in nuggets and homemade burgers...definitely will be back it’s just a pity we live so far away.

User

A beautiful tasty meal as always. Love the choice of vegetables with the main courses. The food is always great and the lads front of house lovely. The owner runs a great place cooking....havent met them yet....but I have never been let down. I travel 330 miles to eat there whenever i visit Northern Ireland. The music on a saturday while u eat is good too and the view to die for while u drink sundowners. Enjoy

User

Lovely relaxed lunch with friends just a misfire on a main course (mussells ordered off the menu but got the ones on the special board) potions all good and food tasty. Apart from the above a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

User

We attended dinner with my family for my bday last week. Was sitting for around 15 minutes without manu and finally I needed ask for one myself. Then waited around 30 minutes for food and I got wrong order but changed quickly. Food was very nice and really enjoyed it unfortunately service need improve.

User

Was there last night. Couldn't fault food it was good but the service was terrible. Asked for water for the table 5 times before it arrived. I was given a soup spoon to eat my desert with. Also when we were shown to our table my seat was coverd in some sticky sweet substance. Had to ask for a new seat. That is why I'm only giving it a 3.

User

I usually can not fault this place but I was a little disappointed when there earlier in the week! Granted it was busy but I have seen it a lot busier. The drinks service was very slow through our entire meal. Taking at least 10-15 minutes from ordering to it arriving at our table. A real shame as as a result there were less drinks ordered than there would have been. My own meal was great but the other three burgers were not served as advertised in a brioche bun and no explanation given. I am always aware that there is a quick turnaround on tables and therefore didn’t want to make a fuss at the time but definitely not the Jamaica in experience that I am used to and frequently recommend to others.

User

When we arrived we had booked a table a few weeks in advance but there wasn’t so had to wait for one to become available. It was so full and noisy you couldn’t hear yourself think never mind have a conversation with friends i had gone with . One bar person on and clearly not enough .Once we were finally served after 30 mins of waiting for someone to take our order and get a late comer a drink we found the Food was average , but the service was none existent as the place was just too busy for the amount of waiting staff on . Customerservice 0 . So disappointed so unfortunately we wont be having another work night out there

User

Had lunch today, service was very slow. Burger and bun both cold. Garlic fries so cold the garlic butter didn't melt. The meal was taken off our bill, fair enough but still a disappointing experience. My husband ordered pulled pork which was ok apart from being served on a wooden board. When will restaurants stop this filthy practice??

User

Decided to decamp from our normal local “The Esplanade “ and try here. Will be the last time. Firstly we are told unless we were booked there were no tables... despite this during our 1 1/2 hour stay not even half the tables were in use. Ended up sitting outside. Managed to get 1 round of drinks and order food. Second attempt at getting a drink... I gave up after over 10 minutes (wouldn’t mind but there were only two people in front of me). My daughter enjoyed her children’s meal... but mine and my son’s meal were at best average. Back to our normal local that has better staffing levels and food.

User

Been there a few times now, and Everytime I've had to wipe down my own table and move glasses away from the table and on the ground. I've also had better steaks from asda and the service was useless. Sorry could do much much better...used to be 1 of my favs.

User

ate here yesterday food was very nice , told my family and friends how nice it was and we travelled down today....so very disappointed in the service we received, sat outside in sun and waited almost an hour for food on receiving it asked for cutlery and was told to get it myself , waiters not very pleasant and to top it off waiter dropped food over my sons clothes and walked on....will def not be back again!!

User

Went for lunch today was so disappointed got prawn open sandwich at £11 was a totally disgrace at the size of it was more like a starter got garlic chips at £3.50 for 10 chips if only I could post a picture to show u

User

Waited 1 hour 15 minutes for food, service was appalling, complained to the manager and he said he knew himself. I ordered a main that I had had before and enjoyed but this time was just average, tasteless and thrown onto the plate. Disappointing and certainly won’t be eating here again.

User

I went for dinner yesterday and I won’t be back , the squid was to heavy it didn’t taste nice and too greasy, mussels were too salty , and the pink prawns sauce it wasn’t nice at all . I’m no very happy about the meal . But the stuff was wonderful.
