#Manchester #WeStandTogether #NoToHate #NotInOurName Senior and Prominent Muslims Scholars gathered in Manchester to pay their respects and condolences to victims of the barbaric attack that took place last week by laying flowers and reading prayer. Representing mainstream Sunni Islam, these scholars once again expressed their disgust at the crimes of this individual and condemned all forms of terrorism and re-illiterated the fatwa these scholars issued that called ISIS and t...heir actions as unislamic. The scholars emphasised and praised the positive spirit of Manchester how people of all walks of life united in this tragic event, ranging from the excellent Emergency Services, to Taxi Drivers and restaurant openers. The key message was that we Muslim #StandUnited in this fight against terrorism, these people may have Muslim names, but they do not represent Muslims, they wish to create divisions and hate and we will not allow this to happen.

MOSQUES OFFER #PrayerForManchester
... The British Muslim Scholars (BMS) has called on mosques and Imams around the UK to dedicate part of the Friday Prayers in honour of the victims of the horrific suicide terror attack that took place at the Manchester Arena on Monday, killing 22 people with many more injured.
The spokesperson for BMS, Imam Qari Asim said: "Since the tragic event, the British people have demonstrated the best of their national spirit of unity, compassion and solidarity. The perpetrator Salman Abedi and other such attackers cannot be allowed to succeed in creating division in our society. We stand together and we stand with Manchester."
Hundreds of Imams will remember the victims in their prayers and deliver the message of solidarity and compassion, whilst reasserting the fact that extremism and terrorism have no place in Islam or in any religion. ISIS and its sympathisers are simply an affront to humanity.
On Sunday 28 May, Imams from across the country will congregate in Manchester at 3pm in St Ann’s Square to pay their respects to the victims, issuing their strong condemnation of this violent and cowardice act, and stand in solidarity with the fellow citizens of this One Nation.
Previously, following the suicide bombings of July 7th, 2005, the British Muslim Forum (BMF) issued the landmark religious decree (fatwa) condemning terrorism and suicide bombings outside the Houses of Parliament in London. The decree was signed by over 500 Imams and Muslim clerics from the United Kingdom (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4 694441.stm).
