In November 2015 we celebrated our 25th Birthday. We used this date to celebrate the calibre of the work that is carried out on behalf of our clients then, now; and for the next twenty-five years and beyond. But where did it all begin?

The business originated from a firm called Holt Jones & Collins who practised from a small office in the centre of Swansea. Due to the fast expansion of the firm the Partners of Holt Jones & Collins took the decision to buy an office out of town on the Enterprise Park in Swansea. This was a difficult decision to make as almost all the law firms in Swansea at this time were in the town centre.

Holt Jones & Collins was dissolved in October 1990 and John Collins & Partners was formed on 1 November 1990 by Steve Penny, Keith Thomas, Paul Newman and John Collins. At this point, the practice had 4 Partners and 20 members of staff.

Over the years the business in Swansea grew rapidly and the decision to move to the Enterprise Park proved to be the right one, as other law firms in the area started to follow.

JCP celebrated our 20th birthday on the 1 November 2010 with a bold new make over, and although the company name remained at that time as John Collins & Partners LLP, the business began to trade as JCP Solicitors.

The new look reflected the modern, and professional way in which JCP operate as a business.

Some more key dates for the business include:

1 October 2011- Merged with VJG Johns in Fishguard
1 October 2012- Merged with Bissmire Fudge in Haverfordwest
1 October 2013- Merged with Peter Cross
1 October 2014- Merged with Pritchard Edwards in Carmarthen
In April 2015, John Collins & Partners LLP became a limited company and officially changed the name of the business to JCP Solicitors Limited.

The business currently has 27 Directors, approximately 152 staff, and offices in Swansea, Cardiff, Carmarthen, Haverfordwest, Fishguard, and St Davids.
