Back again in the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel yesterday to set up this classic pale grey and silver wedding cake

This couple wanted to incorporate a little bit of Scotland, novelty and classic when choosing their cake design

This lady is such a fan of Game of Thrones ,in particular the House of Targaryen So her family commissioned a GOT cake with the lady wearing Queen Daernery's dress You cannot see it very clearly, but the throne is sitting on the dragon house logo and a white dragons' egg sits beside the throne

Oh my goodness, what was that rain like today !!!!!☔️ I just got this cake into the Slieve as the heavens opened

Sometimes you a helping hand to get all the work done I have to say a big "thank you" to Wedding Designs by David McConkey & The Wedding Planner Service for going out of his way to collect , deliver and dress this cake for me today , even though he was not the florist !

I love working with chocolate
The paste is chocolate, the roses are chocolate the balls are chocolate!

Another new venue this week and very close to my hometown of Ballymena The Wool Tower at Raceview Mill in Broughshane It was quite nostalgic , as Derek and I had our wedding reception in a different venue in Broughshane, Tullymore House , it is no longer there, 42 years ago I think this farming themed cake certainly nestled very well into its very rustic environment We had milk churns, dairy cows welly boots not forgetting the very important Texel sheep on the top with their distinctive black nose and teardrops and a few other relevant details

As I said Mr Stirling was on delivery duty yesterday and this was his second venue , the lovely rustic Darver Castle

A newly refurbished Chimney Corner Hotel was the venue for this wedding
What a delightful family to work with , not just on this occasion but on many previously
They always choose Chocolate extravaganzas , which I love making

This Italian buttercream cake certainly suited the sunny day on Friday especially when David from Wedding Designs by David McConkey & The Wedding Planner Service added the beautiful pale pink fluffy peony roses and hydrangea

At first when this customer asked for a Paw Patrol cake with the Look out Tower , my first reaction to the tower was it couldn't be done !!
A few contemplative moments later I changed my mind
