Jolly Jumpers Day Nursery Description
At Jolly Jumpers Day Nursery we offer flexible childcare for children from 6 weeks to 8 years old. We provide care on an hourly basis so if you require full day, half day or just a few hours we can accommodate this. Our prime objective is to create a fun and enjoyable environment where learning takes place through play, and is adapted for each individual child's needs. Members of staff organize a wide range of activities daily, which fits into our basic structure of the day. We provide a bilingual English / Welsh culture with children learning colours, numbers, shapes, weather, songs and basic words in Welsh.
We offer your child a range of activities including sand, water, messy play, painting, play dough, physical and quiet time, in a variety of areas including a baby with separate sleep room, 2's play area with a separate sleep room, reading area, messy area, hideout (over 3's ) and a large outdoor play space.
We have a fully equipped kitchen to provide healthy nutritious food all day long. We work alongside parents to encourage lifelong healthy habits at an early stage, making sure that their experiences of good exercise and oral health are positive and reinforced by the snacks, drinks, exercise and tooth brushing routines in the nursery. We play an active role in the Designed to Smile initiative and Healthy and sustainable pre-school scheme.
The children are respected as individuals with differing needs and requirements and each will be able to play at a level appropriate to their development. The children are encouraged to be independent, have self-control and be confident through a loving, caring atmosphere.
We use two fully equipped people carriers to provide a school drop-off / pick up service to a number of schools in Haverfordwest including half-day morning / afternoon nursery.
All our staff are N, V, Q qualified or working towards qualifications, paediatric first aid, Safeguarding children and Food Hygiene. Our staff are continuously undergoing training to keep up to date with the latest developments in childcare.

We can now confirm that we registered for the childcare offer wales. This offer entitles 3 year olds up to £90 of funding in term time and £135 for 9 weeks of the school holidays. Full information, and conditions can be found on the Pembrokeshire county council website (the list of providers still doesn’t show us on there yet but is being updated!) For all other children we are also registered to the government tax free childcare scheme, this scheme can be found on the government website and basically gives you £2 extra for every £8 you put into an account for your childcare bill. Unfortunately you can’t have both schemes. Any questions about either scheme that can’t be answered on the internet, email me and I’ll try and answer them. Many thanks
