This yearŌĆÖs National Eye Health Week is set to take place from the 24-30th September 2018. Many people often fear losing vision; yet take minimal steps in caring for their eyes. Here are some of the interesting facts about eye health you may not know...
2 million people in the UK are living with sight loss, that is severe enough to have a significant impact on their daily lives. Half of this sight loss is avoidable! A sight test can detect early signs of conditions like glauc...oma, which can be treated if found soon enough. During a sight test, other health conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure may be detected. For healthy eyes, eat well, donŌĆÖt smoke and wear eye protection in bright sunlight.

ATTENTION ALL PATIENTS: We will be closing our ground floor for a complete refit of the practice from 22nd April- 8th May. There will be no eye examinations available but there will still be staff on our first floor to answer your calls, dispense spectacles and contact lenses and give any guidance/advice required.
Sorry for any inconvenience, the end result will be a much nicer place for you to visit for your eyecare.

Due to retirement Page Hughes opticians on Newport Road in Rumney has now closed and all records have now been transferred to our practice in St Mellons to continue the care of their patients.
