Unlike some of the other reviews from last year,we've just had a great 4 night break here...arrived late afternoon and were given directions to caravan, opened it up to find a spotlessly clean upgraded prestige van, beds had also been made unlike some other sites we've stopped at,normally leave the bedding for you to sort out.The van was located very near to main entertainment centre which my mother of 85 was pleased about as she doesn't walk far...Although it was the first full week of the site opening we found the place all ready to go and the staff were very, very helpful, polite and more than willing to help.More than once we commented on how clean the facilities were and whether it was due to just opening all staff were seen cleaning as opposed to standing around talking or texting....We will be looking at going back but a big thank you to everyone who made our break so good including the Sun for the 9.50 break offers.

Our second stay here and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Close to lots of places to visit and lots on site to entertain. Our 3.5 year old loved the entertainment especially making friends with David and Dewi from the funstars team. Lots of character interaction and very friendly team.

The site is walking distance to the beach which is clean and beautiful sandy. Customer service and maintenance team were eager to help if needed.

Caravan was clean and tidy with everything we needed. Will be visiting again I hope.

Just returned from a 3 night/4 day break with my daughter and five grand children and we've had a fabulous time.

We had a prestige caravan which was immaculate. Beds were made, everything was spotless clean and good location being near to entertainment /food venue, central heating was a bonus for the cold mornings.

The site itself was clean and tidy and every member of staff we spoke to was friendly and helpful.

Even though the site was busy we didn't feel crammed in.

Although we didn't attend, there were plenty of activities available for the children (10 to 2 years old) we were too busy making our own entertainment.

We had a wonderful mini break and can't wait to go back for a longer stay.

Just got back from a 3 night stay and love it there. Caravan was lovely and clean, except for the sofa being a bit worn but apart from that no complaints. The funstars were great and the live entertainment was really impressive. I've stayed in Kiln Park and visited beautiful tenby countless times from when I was younger and I'm sure i will be back again!

Just got back today from a 4night/5 day break, this is our 3rd time here in 4years,we are 2 young pension ers, we love Tenby it's so picturesque, we always go with a special offer from Daily Mail, we didn't expect to get such a !lovely caravan even though it was a bit close to the entertainment, a bit noisy at night,we had a courtesy call the day before to confirm our holiday.I can recommend Kiln Park!!

User

I love kiln park and ther extra wide vans are great however I do think the shop could do wit a make over , kids like sovienors but stupid prices they should get some tote bags made up , pet bowls , plastic cups keyrings etc great way to advertise to , chippy is stunning for food but out of sauces plus the shop had no milk eggs bacon etc slush lollies being July should be stocked

User

Fab camping holiday for sunny weather had one day of rain yesterday and had a river running through tent would advise spending a little bit of money to level ground off as it cost so much to camp here compared to other sites maybe you could look after it a little more . Staff were friendly clean facilities

User

Just arrived and disappointed to find the pool closes at 4.45 as it's not 'peak season '!!!! Utter madness, there's loads of families here and it's nearly 30 degrees!!! After a 6 hour drive we promised our little lad a dip in the pool when we arrived. Come on Haven, have a bit on sense, sort it out and give your customers what they want

We arrived on Easter Monday to a chaotic check in as the site were turning away people who had booked touring pitches due to site being water logged which sounds like it is a regular occurrence and not offered any alternative due to camp being full . The caravan we had booked directly due to my mum being disabled and organised over the phone.

The caravan whilst being classed as deluxe was as basic as I have ever seen. The storage and room layout was poorly designed. My mum had asked for an extra wide caravan and could barely get into bed or use the toilet due to the narrow width. As an adult staying in a twin room, the gap between the beds Barely fitted my leg. Despite making the camp aware that my mum was disabled, there was no parking next to the caravan (aside from on the road parking which was permanently full) or hard standing. The parking, including disabled space was a couple of hundred yards away and not practical for my disabled mum.

The first night we decided to eat in the harbour restaurant. We queued from 7-7.25 just to order. When we placed our order we were advised that the wait was around 45 mins. The first 3 food choices were unavailable. The restaurant looked about half full. Our food arrived after we had complained about the delay at 8.45. One of the meals was a make your own wrap for my daughter that would have needed no cooking and taken a minute to prepare. My daughter was crying waiting so long for food, we watched numerous people give up waiting and leave the restaurant. When we made this fact aware to the manager we were told there had been problems with the staffing that day. We could have travelled into Tenby and eaten in the time it took for us to get a mediocre meal.

There was very little choice of food. Pizza, chip shop and what appeared to be a v limited menu in the restaurant. As a vegetarian and someone who likes to eat something other than processed food I struggled.

The pool was nice but the changing room floors were filthy and I barely wanted to step on them.

There was litter outside of the lifts next to the entertainment room upstairs that had been there for 3 days.

When we complained to reception it took 2 days for them to call us back and ask why we didn’t ask to be changed vans (day before we were due to leave even though in check in everyone was advised that the site was full). We were told we would have a discount on future bookings but not told how much or how to claim, assuming we would want to stay again.

We have previously stayed at this site and on another in Devon. We were told that was a flag ship and the standard wasn’t the same!! In my opinion in the 3 years since we last stayed on this camp the quality has declined.

In the light of this I believe the £600 for a “deluxe” caravan was certainly not value for money. The caravan and lack of parking was certainly my biggest gripe.

User

Statics were ok. Clean but quite hot. Pool closed all day on one day. Bar closing at 10:45 on Thursday night. Asked staff and was told bar was closing because there wasn't enough customer's but we could go to the upstairs bar. This was also being closed. There were 50+ in downstairs bar.

User

Just got back from a 3 night stay and kiln Park and I have to say very disappointed! Went every year as a child and loved it so couldn’t wait to take my family. We had a newer caravan that was lovely and clean but had to pay extra for a decent caravan, we had a 3 bed that was cramped and not fit to stay in if it was wet weather. what was very disappointing is that there was nothing really there !! Yes there’s a swimming pool but it’s the same as the one they had when I was 12 and I’m now 32 ! The entertainment complex was rubbish. The restaurant had very little choice so didn’t bother going , other than that you have papa johns and a chippy , chips were horrible but pizza was okay. The only bit my children enjoyed was the arcade!!! Defiantly won’t be going again rather go to pendine !!!

User

We are just home from our 5th holiday in Kiln Park. For those who are thinking of booking to stay there don’t bother! Even though the temperatures were in the mid 20’s the pool closed religiously at five o clock every evening, sometimes you couldn’t get in as there was a wait because of large volumes using it! Should this not alert the staff that the pool hours are too short? If you want to order food or drink at the bar please ensure you are neither dying of the thirst or hunger! One hour and fifteen minutes of a delay for a child’s pizza when the restaurant wasn’t even packed or busy! I witnessed a waitress carrying a large tray of food on her shoulder with her hair hanging into the food As for ordering a drink!! Forget about it!! Unqualified and slow bar staff who have very poor servicing skills!!! I have yet to go to Kiln Park and be given outdoor seating at our mobile home regardless of what package or price we pay! Not a patch on the Euro camps we have been to in France!

User

Thanks a bunch Kiln Park for ruining our Easter holiday.

We booked and paid for a touring pitch for our family of 5 in our caravan and have just received a phone call telling us that they are cancelling our holiday because the ground is too wet! Unbelievable - this is Wales in March - what do they expect?

The really annoying thing is that we were offered alternative acomodation. They wanted us to pay £1200 to stay in a static!! We paid £300 for 6 nights in our own caravan. That really does take the p***. Not even a discount was offered for the inconvenience. So we told them where to stick their £1200.

So now we have 3 very dissapointed kids, 2 angry parents who have taken holiday from work and no holiday.

After many calls and time on the internet we are unable to find alternative acomodation with the facilitys we require at this short notice.

This site suffers massively with waterlogged / flooded ground which we have experienced in the past when it ruined our and our friends holiday by flooding our hardstanding super pitch and leaving the camping field underwater (photos available on request).

It's about time Kiln Park either sorted this water problem out or stopped taking touring caravans / tents.
