Probate
Probate is the term used for the process involved in administering and dealing with the estate of a person who has passed away. This can involve dealing with the assets and discharging the liabilities of the deceased person. We can deal with an estate for a person who has died with a Will and those who have died intestate (without a Will).
Our service can provide initially the fact finding process of valuing the estate completing the relevant forms and obtaining a Grant from the Probate Registry as well as encashing and distributing the estate. You would also then receive a full and comprehensive set of estate accounts. We appreciate that following the death of a loved one the probate system can seem complicated and upsetting and we aim to try and alleviate that as far as is possible.

Lasting Powers of Attorney
Our service provides advice on the Mental Capacity Act which introduced Lasting Powers of Attorney, completion of the necessary documents and advice for the Attorneys, as well as subsequent assistance in registering them. It is always wise for a Power of Attorney to be prepared when you are fit and well as if it is left too late then it may not be possible to execute a form of Power of Attorney and the matter may then need to be referred to the Court of Protection. By instructing us to prepare a Lasting Power of Attorney a person can release himself or herself of burdensome tasks in the management of his or her own affairs and can be assured that the document will be drafted in a discreet and dignified fashion.
