Guests who have visited us this year will be in no doubt that animals are a huge part of our lives. The donkeys in particular create quite a bit of conversation - the first question asked is if they are rescued or beach donkeys? The answer is neither as Helen has been breeding and showing donkeys for the last 43 years. The ones you see out in the paddocks range from 4 to 37 years old and are all British Champions Say hello to Tabo, Boo, Tao, Murphy and Joules during your stay The ponies are all active too. Pippin competes in Carriage Driving, Basil is only 1 year old but that is his future and Finn loves to hack up that lovely hill in front of you Our 3 loopy Labradors are Milly, Olive and Dylan whom the Paw Pad is dedicated to

We had a fantastic week-long holiday staying in Two Hoots at the beginning of September. Helen and Steve were very welcoming (and not at all obtrusive!) and it was so peaceful being located on their working farm. We loved watching the donkeys, cows and horses from our hot tub. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and we were able to buy fresh eggs from an honesty box too which were yummy. When we needed help with the oven, Steve was so helpful!

The lodge itself was immaculate and looked exactly like in the photos. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were sparkling and the kitchen worked perfectly for evening meals. Plenty of space to park and as there are only three lodges it felt very secluded (they're also growing hedges between the lodges so they'll be even more private by next year!).

There's so much to do nearby. We visited Chirk Castle on the Welsh Border, the cable cars at Llandudno in Wales, a walk along the river in Chester and through all the shops, Little Moreton Hall (a tudor manor house), Biddulph Grange Garden and Chester Zoo. We could easily have stayed a fortnight (and wanted to).

We're missing Kitty's Lodges already and looking forward to returning!

Thanks for the fantastic stay. Lodge was amazing, hot tub spectacular, and the view outstanding. Helen could not have been more welcoming if she’d tried. Nothing was too much - even the fact that Steve had put together a fire guard to keep our youngest safe whilst the fire was on.

If you’re used to 5* holidays abroad, and fancy a change being in the UK, this is the quality/finish you’re looking for. Every part of the accommodation, even down to the TV was of a 5* standard. Without a doubt we will be back!

Myself, David and our boy Ty have had the best weekend at these log cabins. Helen and Steve made us unbelievably welcome and we will definitely be returning. The views were outstanding to wake up to and the cabins are absolutely stunning and so well designed. There is absolutely nothing negative to say apart from the fact we wish we had booked for longer to stay as we had so much more exploring to do. We are so happy that we have found somewhere so dog friendly with a very secure garden but still doesn't obstruct any views. Ty was very happy to perch on the patio and look out over the farm. Thank you again for the best weekend! We hope to see you again soon. Hopefully in the winter so we can make the most of the cosy log fire after a soak in the hot tub!

Just had a wonderful break, staying in The Pheasants Run. Lovely lodge, superbly furnished and very well equipped. Great shower and huge comfortable bed. Such a peaceful area. We were so impressed and very happy to have found such a lovely place that also accepts dogs. We took walks from the lodge up the hill every day. The large enclosed garden was ideal to let the dog out for a play and we sat outside a lot just admiring the view. Fabulous.

Just come back from a wonderful week at Kitty's Lodges. We stayed in the Pheasant Run Lodge. We must say it was a 5* lodge. Helen and Steve made us very welcome from start to finish. Plenty of walks around. Highly recommend visiting Delemere Forest as well. Pheasant Inn is very nice too.

The lodge was very clean and sparkling. The lodge has everything you need. Superb hot tub.

I am not one to write reviews, but kitty’s view country lodges calls for me to break the habit. Our family stay was one of the most perfect experiences i've ever had in the uk. Helen and Steve are lovely, very helpful and just everything about the grounds/area was perfect. The two hoots is beautifully done and has everything more then you’d ever want or expect. Sitting in the hot tub and looking out at the stunning scenery was fabulous. Kids absolutely loved playing outside and we never had to worry as everything is well secured. We will 100% be back. If you're seeking true luxury with minimal distraction in a beautiful setting this is the place for you!
