Kumon Bridgend Study Centre

Kumon Bridgend Pyle is going to be big in Japan! The Tokyo Broadcasting Service crew were doing their shopping in Asda’s today (as we happened to be having a meeting this morning) and popped in for an interview for their programme ‘Made in Japan’.

We’re having a very successful class today - GR has achieved a Group 2 on her Level 2A mathematics Achievement Test, and TG completed Level C maths with a Group 2 result and Level F1 (!) English with a Group 1 (the best possible result!)

This is a competition for all the Kumon students throughout the UK! You can win up £50 gift card every week. We’ll also be running a competition just for Bridgend students where a £20 book voucher can be won for the best photo.

Children whose parents mark their homework on a daily basis make faster progress.

Ann's Maternity Leave Arrangements (current parents: this should have just arrived in your email inbox) The Kumon classes will run as normal until Saturday 24th August (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at Asda in Pyle). I hope to work up until the twins arrive, but if they arrive early, my Senior Assistant, Annalese, will be leading the classes, helped by the other assistants who currently work at the centre. During the week commencing Monday 26th August (the Mond...ay is a bank holiday) – there will be no Kumon classes. During September, classes will run every two weeks: Class weeks will be as normal during the weeks commencing Monday 2nd September and Monday 16th September (on the normal class days of Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday). There will be no classes during the weeks commencing Monday 9th September and Monday 23rd September. Classes will be run by my Senior Assistant Annalese and instructors from other Kumon centres in South Wales will also occasionally run a class. I will return to work on 1st October (with the twins) – I have a spare room at the premises in Pyle which I am converting into a nursery area for them so that they can come to work with me when I return. From then on, classes will run as normal, every week.
