Lake Country House Hotel

We stayed three nights and had a lovely time staff were very friendly and helpful also had a great time in the spa would recommend this hotel.

Returned after a year and we're pleased to see the hotel was just as great. Food excellent. Staff lovely welcoming but professional. Beautiful lake and swans. Lovely rooms with comfortable furnishings and bed. Nice spar. Only improvements we could think of would be sky TV and a bathing costume dryer Otherwise a perfect, peaceful retreat for when you just want escape for a few days.

We had an excellent nights stay on the spare of the moment. The food at dinner was fantastic served by well trained and friendly staff.

We spent 2 nights here on a DBB offer in a Lodge suite booked directly at the same price as the on line agent offer.
It's in beautiful grounds including lakes woodland and a river. There is a golf course fishing and a spa included in the price.
Our suite number 12 was in the corner on the second floor and therefore not disturbed. It is well appointed and offers both bath and separate walk in shower.
We visited the Spa at about 4pm each day and practically had the place to ourselves. There is a pool, steam room, sauna gym and hot tub. You can also book treatments.
The restaurant is fairly grand with extremely attentive staff. The 4 course menu is fairly short and a steak person may find the options limited. However if you like fresh fish or beautiful meat with inspiring ingredients you will be spoilt.
Breakfast is served in the Conservatory, excellent choice and cooked to order.
The Elan Valley, Brecon Beacons and even the coast are very close.
We really enjoyed our short break and only live a short drive away!

The Sauna and swimming pool were nice and so were the rooms and the reception staff. The evening restaurant was the low point for us, kept waiting outside for half an hour, the staff were short then after we got in a for a expensive meal the food was not that nice. It seem to have aspiration of being very high class restaurant with all the downside and none of the up.

Very friendly staff. Excellent food and facilities . Dog stayed with us and made to feel very welcome.

Staying for a Valentine's break we had an all round exceptional experience. Great food, great service, and the location is beautiful. The spa facilities are excellent and are a must. I highly recommend staying here if you can
