On 21st March 2013 we received our first 5🌟rating for food hygiene and we are very proud of our kitchen manager Claire and her team for achieving our third 5🌟rating in a row.

Hard to believe we have been at the Lamb&Flag 28 years today ! I think that calls for a glass of bubbly later 🍾

A gentle reminder that everyone who has booked for Christmas Day need to pay a £10 per person deposit within the next two weeks to guarantee their booking.

We went to the Lamb and Flag last night for the first time in many years on our very rare "date night". The meal was absolutely lovely.... my partners steak was cooked to perfection. I had the vegetarian burger which was also outstanding... only down side was an incredibly crusty bun which was hard to cut through. Other than that we had a really lovely night and will definitely be going back. A shout out to Jordan and the other lady serving behind the bar who were very friendly and accommodating. Went back today with our children as the play area is also perfect. I would highly recommend.

We was booked in up the road at the dragons head for 7pm but as they was so rude to us and didn't open until 7.10pm - and didn't bother to serve us. we decided to ring very last minute to see if the lamb & flag could fit us in. They did. Last minute a table of 12. Food was perfect. Service was great. They even bought out my partners cake and sang happy birthday �

We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon for a meal. The setting was great and the staff welcoming. We had the gammon steak and it was cooked perfectly as were the chips. A side of mustard coleslaw was amongst the best coleslaw I have ever tasted. This was the first time we have been here and we will definitely call back again when we are in the area.

We have just returned home after a lovely meal for our son Lewis's 9th Birthday dinner.

Not only did you open an area of your restaurant that was closed off for the evening, when we explained our 5 year old son has autism & can't cope with busy area's, you also allowed him to eat his own packed dinner (discreetly).

This put us so at ease, Thankyou for making an often hard task of going out in a public area, so smooth!

Also, for adding the thoughtful touch of Lewis's candle on his fudge cake.......you have made it a very special event for all 8 of us as a family ☺

The staff were fantastic & friendly, easy access with ramps & the food was so tasty & cooked to perfection!

We look forward to coming again very soon.

Used to be 1 of the family favourites after a bad experience 8year ago we returned yesterday as a last minute plan and fancied giving it another shot. We were not dissapointed, me, my partner and our 2children enjoyed our food an deserts � Best meal we've had in a while. 1hour wait on food but we expected that with the bank holiday and the nice weather for a change � We will defo return again in future. Stayed yesterday on the annual trip down to family, delivering Xmas presents.

Booked in on their Xmas deal for £99, had a great time. Set 3 course was beautiful, plus a glass of bubbly.

Staff are so nice, nothing is too much for them.

After a winter ascent of Pen y Fan last Sunday, a perfect (& generous!) pot of tea for two, & cake, on a warm comfy sofa, and very friendly staff; just the ticket before the drive home! Thanks & we will be back - meal next time?

Great food loved the outside eating area. Staff o my to pleased to help great place. Will return in the winter to the cosy fires

Good food it was busy and had to wait quite a while for the food to come to the table, but it was worth the wait but had we been tied to time it would have been cutting it a bit fine!! I would ask next time (because there will be a next time!) How long the wait is, nit as I said food was lovely

I’ve never eaten at the lamb and flag before but my partner had several times, I’ve heard very good things about it so I was looking forward to eating there. Myself and my partner brought our mums yesterday for Mother’s Day, we sat down to order our meals and our waitress Becky didn’t have a very friendly attitude to start with. She took our starters and mains, but we asked if we could order desserts after because we weren’t sure on what we wanted. She replied with “yeah you can do that but it make my job harder but that’s fine” she made us feel very awkward and a burden. our food came and the plates were cold but the food was enjoyable anyways after our food, Becky rushed over to take our dessert order, but we asked if we could have two extra minutes cause we hadn’t had chance to look, we didn’t think it was a big ask. She said it was fine, walked off and turned the lights off and the music in the connecting room so there was then no atmosphere anymore an we felt uncomfortable, it felt like we was being rushed too leave. She didn’t return for about 10/15 minutes then as if she was making a point cause we asked for extra time. I could understand if it was like 10/11 o’clock but it was 8:15 and I also understand that it was Mother’s Day and the waitresses probably had a really long day, but we also spent a lot of money on the meal and felt we deserved better customer service.

Very rude staff, we waited 35 minutes for food and when we asked how long it would be as we thought it was 45 minutes the waitress had a very bad attitude and corrected us that we had been waiting less, not very good customer service and I am very dissapointed not the first time the customer service has been questioned for us.

Long wait for a Ham Egg and Chips that really wasn't worth the wait. One egg was underdone and the other hard fried. Dripping in fat to boot. Sorry can't recommend this pub at all very below par in this day and age.

They simply took a seat at a table we are still sat at while waiting for me to join them with the buggy from the vehicle in the rain � She was rudely told to go book a table at the bar ‘taking down’ to my wife! We are eating as we are hungry from a morning of soft play. Otherwise we’d move on. We won’t be back.



Is this the usual at a brains pub? I’m normally used to placing orders at the bar once we have found a table with a number. Such a shame considering the often great service we receive at the Plas Dderwen and other Brains Pubs. I will be sending this via twitter to Brains as a complaint of staff attitude.

Very disappointed, went for a meal with family and we were told that they couldn’t take an order for an hour because of large booking they had.

It didn’t even look that busy. Not very nice and very unusual. If you know that you have bookings maybe book in more staff?

Very disappointed in the lack of customer service. We had pre-booked a table for 7, and pre-ordered food for 8. The food arrived over an hour late, and cleared an hour after that. Not once did any of the staff come over and ask if the meals were okay, nor was we asked if we'd like any desserts. All of that I can over look. What annoyed me was that my food was so hot, I couldn't eat it. When I looked at the menu to see if it had a warning label, there wasn't one. I told an employee this while purchasing another drink and the response I had was that the company knows that the meal is very hot, they know that there is no warning on the menu but that doesn't matter because they tell anyone who buys it that it is hot. Like I said, I pre-ordered my meal and was not told this. When I explained this to her she didn't do anything to rectify the situation. I would have just been happy that she accepted that maybe a mistake was made. I didnt even have an apology. Honestly, I would get better customer service from a 2 for 1 establishment. I can't speak for all of my party, but myself and a few others wouldn't step foot in the establishment again.

I was ignored at the bar, and spoken to in a belittling manner, basically made feel unwanted in front of the other groups of customers that surrounded the bar. I will think twice about recommending this place to anyone I talk to again.
