Went to the Saturday tour 1st July and thought it was really lovely being openly welcomed into the dreams and visions of this wonderful man, Nigel, and his family. For those not quite understanding the concept of setting up something on this scale, no judgement should be made. These things take a lot of time. To set up and get things right straight away is quite impossible. It is work in progress, one learn as one go along. This is not for the faint hearted and for those who live here it will be work in progress for some time. Building dreams, any dream is a lifetime thing. If people get high expectations and get 'disappointed' my advise would be give it a go and see if you have what it takes, then but only then can you make comments. Having lived in a housing co-operative I know the pitfalls and the work that goes into something like this so fully admire everyone currently living at Lammas. Keep going because you are not only holding a torch for your own plot of land/community/family, you are also holding 'space' for others with equally amazing dreams. My hat off to you guys. Well done and I wish you all a bright future. x

Visited Lammas on 12/08/17 for the tour with Tao Wimbush. It was an awesome experience. Tao was extremely knowledgeable and open, answering questions about everything from sewage management to personal finances. A beautiful setting for a beautiful project.

An absolute MUST for anybody interested in self-sufficient living. Check it out!

I saw your ecovillage on grand designs on the telly. I just wanted to say that it looks like a beautiful place that I would so love to visit.....the brightest of wishes to you all that your place is all you want it to be....you have certainly made me look at my life and rethink things!

I held a party here recently and the space is great - plenty of space for dancing, a good kitchen and outdoor space for a fire. We created a lovely energy. I've also been to many parties here and have always had a brilliant time. I know Lammas would like to change the floor so it better for dancing so hope they achieve this. Pete Kinsey (on FB) says he knows how to do it. Oh yes and very reasonable rates for renting for an evening.

Good work all round. Wonderful concept - keep going.

Been up there few times, lovely place to attend work shops with Cassandra, like the rustic look and feel of the place, the setting of the hub is lovely looking over the lake, worth a visit if you havnt been up there already Rachel
