Lampeter Town Rugby Football Club is a rugby union team from the town of Lampeter, West Wales. The club is a member of the Welsh Rugby Union and historically is a feeder club for the Llanelli Scarlets. Being one of the founder members of the WRU the town took an active part in the development of the game in Wales. The town, despite it's relatively small size has produced several international players over the years going back to the 19th century. We currently field 15 teams, a First XV who play in Division 3 West A of the WRU SWALEC league, a Seconds XV who play in Division 1 of the All Wales Sport League, a YOuth XV who play in the Scarlets Wst Wales league, a Senior Ladies XV and an under 16's Girls XV along with 10 Juniors teams from the under7's through to the under 16's. We completed work on our new clubhouse at the end of 2013. The new building boasts four modern changing rooms with their own showering facilities, a Referee’s changing & showering room, Players toilets, fully fitted commercial kitchen with dumb waiter lift, new modern ground floor bar with windows and fixed seating overlooking the pitch. We also have modern and luxurious WC facilities including disabled toilet and baby changing stations both upstairs and downstairs.
We have a lift in the entrance foyer to access the first floor function room equipped with a modern bar area, dining facilities, televisions and a balcony extending the full width of the Clubhouse overlooking the rugby pitch with views of the town and Pencarreg Mountain in the distance. Our bars boast marble granite tops with solid oak bases. We aim to cater for all tastes and have all the new and current trends in beer, real ale, lager, cider, both on draft and in bottles to include also stocking the current trends in spirits and the like. Outside we have a large patio area to watch games from or to relax and enjoy a drink particularly during the summer months. We have a newly resurfaced car parking area adjoining the Clubhouse for approximately 50 vehicles, including disabled parking bays.
